FYI this is the first game with the 1.0 pre-patch balancing which most people liked. While they made a garbage attempt after the first patch and dug their own grave by launching a sequel after the first one bombed, I'd still recommend giving this a shot since it's F2P. Its focus on melee, bows and traps makes it pretty unique.

Understandable if you want to dismiss it but it really had something going for it before it crashed and burned.
I can vouch for this game, it started strong and they had a great idea and set up, but they didn't know what to do with it after that and things went downhill until it died. They made some terrible decisions like gutting most of the abilities and adding really annoying weapon abilities (fuck spears). Then after it died, they tried to do a PUBG cash-in clone that bombed so bad they took it down (with full refunds) and apologized, then turned their attention back to reinventing The Culling.
I'm hoping they can do it this time, it's a unique take on Battle Royale and one of the earlier titles before the genre became mainstream, but I know they're at a huge disadvantage because of their past and the tainted view of Battle Royale games.
Not to mention this is a blast to play. The melee combat is so good imo
