I FUCKING CALLED THAT END CREDITS, I FUCKING CALLED IT
TFS is utterly incredible in what they've done. It'll be interesting to see their projects beyond DBZA, but it's just plain fantastic and they did a fantastic job with S3. Each episode was more than worth the wait, and helped perk me up so much for a good part of a decade. Just plain brilliant work.
This is speculation, but the next release (after the Trunk epilogue, which has been confirmed) will probably be the Bojack movie, since that takes place after Cell (Gohan is still 'Teen' and can go SSJ2) and Buu.
I wonder if they'll be doing BoG and RoF since those are technically DBZ movies, or if that'll be their cutoff point since those basically lead into Super.
Honestly, with the confirmation of Season 4, I could see them pulling the same thing later on after the Buu Saga, regarding Super.
I remember a few months ago when they basically said outright "Episode 60 is almost definitely gonna be the end of DBZA". They all wanna go on and do different things (which I understand and respect), but I could totally see them sticking around for Super (or at the very least Battle of Gods and Resurrection F) if it's still fun and profitable, so I'd take anything that comes out right now with a grain of salt.
They're known throughout the world as "TeamFourStar, the guys who do Dragonball Abridged", so it never hurts to have a backup plan. The demand is 100% there, it's probably best to just keep it under glass until they want/need to break it out.
Hopefully it won't take them over a year between each batch this time around.
Eh. If that's how long it takes for them to release a batch of good content I'm all for it.
I think DBZA is the best interpretation of the the story of Dragon ball by far.
I know it originally started out as another Abridged series fad that was just meme and pop-culture references but god damn did it evolve beyond that.
DBZA noticeably hits its stride once they get to Namek.
More importantly, now that the Cell arc is done, they can make DBZA Kai episode 3.

Heh, good for Krillin.
His 'Krillin Owned counter going down' scenes were hilarious.
There's a reason he only wished for a three-foot hoagie back on Namek.

It only took a year because they took a break. They wanted to work on non-DBZA things
Alright so who’s going to be the one that says, “I am hilarious and you will quote everything I say.” ?
Android 16
"I love natuuureee"
wait wrong series
I think the Buu saga could be really funny, and I honestly hope it would get them back to their roots in what a dumb saga it was, so they don't try to make it all this huge grand production.
This last episode was a lot less of a parody and honestly borders on a straight re-dubbing. I didn't care for any of the musical sequences and I feel like whenever the story gets to a big climactic fight, most of the writing they do boils down to writing quips for the characters to exchange, since there's not as much comedic potential in that kind of scene as there is in the filler episodes.
It plays more like an homage than a parody at this point, but pretty much everything after the Cell saga is stupid enough that I can't imagine that being a problem in the future.
tbqh thats why i love it, and possibly thats probably the best way to do a parody. Is that you ride the fine line of being both making fun of the source material, but also pay homage to it. Sorta reminds me of Mel Brook's Young Frankenstein, where even though its a parody of the 40s-50s monster movies. It does take itself seriously enough to be engaging, but enough to be comedic and self-aware.
RIP Bojack the Space Pirate.
Also im glad they cut out the part where the rest of the Z fighters help out Gohan's Kamehameha. Adds a lot more impact when Vegeta is able to knock Cell off his balance.
Eh, I guess to my tastes, I would rather have more parody and less homage. By a certain point, it starts to feel like I'm just watching the original series again, which you could say speaks to the quality of the work they're doing, but on the other hand, it feels like something I've already seen.
Honestly, I think this episode is more poignant than the original in a lot of ways. Dragon Ball doesn't have the deepest of characters, and in a way, DBZA has been able to take them further or in different directions (for example Gohan's hatred of fighting and anger issues partially stem from Goku never being there from him), so things that didn't really resonate with me when watching DBZ actually struck a chord in DBZA, such as Android 16's speech being about how he despises Gohan for being a coward who refuses to fight till the end to save his world instead of being about the birds or some shit, or basically every single speech by Goku this episode, while he may be irresponsible, an idiot, a bad parent and with the english comprehension of a first grader, he's only trying to make his son happy and to do what's best for his family, friends and world, and is sometimes capable of a level of nuance and intelligence even canon Goku doesn't have
Next movie
part 2 was taken down, anyone knows a mirror?
Cell, rule of threes style.
Cell: "I'm disgusting you will quote everything I say."
Imperfect Cell: "I'm ridiculous and you will quote everything I say."
Perfect Cell: "I'm disturbing and you will quote everything I say."

I agree with you on most of your observations but,16's speech in the original versions is still telling him to let go and that he some things can't be just talked out of. It's just that DBZA's version on the speech is more direct and a bit more harsh (also with a bit of comedy thrown in too.)
I think we all saw it coming.
