Can't even load a server..
This seems different to other peoples errors which only occur AFTER joining a server.

umm well i'm brand new. saw the demo on youtube, liked it, so checking it out..
i downloaded the mod, additional content and updated everything..
The additional content was 35 gig ??
but just doesn't load any servers, even trying russian ones : /

Also there's pink textures and error signs.
I'm only running the servers that came with the actual mod. So weird

Well the updater for gmod said to update to the latest client and I got it from that link, so I guess it's official? 😣

so you got some "updater" for gmod, that told you to update to the latest "client", and you got it from "that" link. and youre ASKING if its official. Did you pirate the game?

Did you buy Garry's Mod on Steam?
The official Steam version of Garry's Mod doesn't have any sort of "updater", and it certainly won't give a link to anything.
Steam games automatically update. Without any updaters, without having to click any links to sites.
So whatever site you got Garry's Mod from, it's not a legit copy. That is why it doesn't work.
