This doesn't even scratch the surface of content this channel has lmao.
I started to binge watch this channel
half an hour ago I've found it on my youtube homepage and so far I'm enjoying this. It feels like those 11Foot8 videos of those bridge crashes. Not as violent or extreme though
You can easily watch these at 2x speed to save time
There comes a point where you need to consider whether your signs are visibile enough. Sure you got speakers, but I doubt people actually realize someone's talking to them.
I've parked illegally before and gotten away with it both times
haha SUCKER
They show pictures of the signs, there's like 10 of them all over the wall.
You'd be surprised how many people just straight up ignore signs. At my work we have "cash only" plastered all over our menu and right in front of the counter and we still get people who order and take out their card and hand it to us, only to be shocked when we tell them we don't take card.
the towing truck even has its own theme song like a anime

I don't see how "wall plastered in signs" can get any more clear, chief.
As bad as hitler

Don't worry, friend. Your time on the hook will come.
At that point it's their own damn fault if they park in a tow-away zone and their shit gets towed.
I also recently had this pop up in my feed. I love that autoloader tow truck, it's extremely impressive. Being able to pick up a car by the frame rails from nearly any angle, drop it where you need it, and tow it away? Awesome. It's like a forklift designed for cars and parking lots.
Yup, had this pop up for me too and I was like "Pfft, who's gonna watch a video about people being towed for illegal parking?"
*hours later*
"This channel is amazing."
That auto loader is like magic.
So as a bloke with a manual transmission (and who frankly doesn't know much about inner workings of cars) who parks and leaves it in first gear occasionally with 4wd, rarely with e-brake also applied, wouldn't this fuck up the engine or drivetrain ? If so, will the towing company compensate any damages ? Or they bring the flatbed once they figure out?
I've noticed it sometimes slips and loses grip on the wheels/axle. Ouch, underbody damage.
well don't park in a tow-away zone and there won't be damages
If you live in any urban or downtown areas you should know to look for no parking or tow signs to begin with.
There's probably some people who see what I assume is the vehicle belonging to a security guard and think it's ok to park there. Most of these people though seem to just ignore the signs though.
At what point will the staff just snap and start laying down remote triggered explosives
Better yet, trap door ramps that lead under the building and into a massive industrial grinder.
I hate to bump a 9-day old thread, but there's very little risk any damage would be caused. Most tow truck companies will simply pop open your door and release the e-brake and, in your case, put it in neutral. It takes all of 60 seconds for an experienced tow truck/repo driver/AAA/roadside assistance agent to get you into a locked car with a slim jim and a pump bag (this has seriously amazed me on numerous occasions and changed my habits about leaving valuables in a locked car). If they have a flat bed, they might not even bother and just drag the car onto the bed. It's not going to cause any significant damage to your drivetrain, or any damage really, other than some very insignificant flat spots on the tires.
But in most states, when you park on a tow-away zone, you're liable for any and all damages if your car is towed - hell, even most public parking lots where you're parking legally have signs specifically stating that any damages for any reason or stolen goods aren't their problem. Parking in a tow-away zone is no different than being in an at-fault accident in the eyes of your insurance were you to file a claim for damages during the tow.
Maybe they could decorate the wall with a mural, like a bayeux tapestry, but filled with the victories of the towtruck.
Question though, how do those trucks overcome the cars handbrakes?
Looks like they just forcibly drag the vehicle by whatever axle they can get until they can get at the one that doesn't lock with the handbrake.
This:
Or, if it weren't an autoloader/traditional tow truck (which just goes behind the front or rear axle and picks the car up by the wheels/control arms), they'd simply use a flatbed and drag the car with a winch onto the bed. But again, they can just break into the car and release the brake. Like I said, it takes all of 60 seconds to get into pretty much any car (this is getting harder nowadays with strictly electronic locks, but pump bags, which are typically used to push the window away from the door, can be used to push the door away from the body far enough to slip a tool inside to unlock the door) - and in a legal tow/repo, nobody cares about an alarm going off. And if they really did, or were bothered by the noise, they'd just pop the hood after getting in and disconnect the negative battery cable to quell the sound.
I remember the first time I saw a pump bag used to push a door away from the body. I'd always seen them used to push the window away from the door if the car in question didn't have a door frame that surrounded the window, but they can legit push a locked door a good inch away from the body, insert their weird, malleable, adjustable tools, and release the lock. These guys know what they're doing and have some pretty interesting skills. I always thought once a door was closed and latched, and as someone that has deliberately installed delrin door bushings to prevent body flex, was positive that shit wasn't going anywhere... but they have way more give than I had imagined.
TLDR; These guys will either drag your car onto a flatbed, re-arrange the position of the car to utilize an free axle, or just break in to release your handbrake. If you're getting towed or repo'd and you aren't there, there's nothing to stop them.
