whenever i load into a server i load in part of the way through the 4927 assets but then my screen goes grey and when it comes back the rust window is white and i cant do anything but close it. i have tried many times and the same thing happens every time
First things first. Have you had any issues prior playing Rust
Secondly, what are your computer specs

I've only just installed rust a few days ago. and ik this sounds stupid but i dont know much about computers so what specs do you need?
In Windows:
1. Open the Start menu.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click System.
4. Click About.
macOS:
1. Open the Apple menu.
2. Click About this Mac.
I think I have the same problem. Load up the usual server(s) then once world is about to launch, crashes out
here are my specs:
processor Intel(R) core(TM) 17-4720hq cpu @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz
installed ram 8.00 GB (7.89 usable)
system type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

RAM is your issue as your current setting is the minimum requirements.
This game is not optimized and even people with higher end gear still suffer, sorry to say
so is there anything i can do do i have to dedicate more ram or can i just not play?
Really? If you want solid advice, upgrade your computer all together. You may get a bottlenecking affect due to your CPU and with your RAM well, 12 wouldnt hurt but there still is no guarantees
As I mentioned, the game is not fully optimized, you play at your own risk. With that said as well (like I mentioned above) people that have a great system still suffer from frame loss and other issues
OK thanks for helping i'm going to have to wait a while I think and get a new PC as i'm using a laptop.
