So fucking hyped. VA-11 Hall-A is one of my favorite games and getting more in that world is absolutely awesome.
Not a huge fan of the new aesthetics but I'm ready to mix more drinks and change lives.
And more importantly, the music.
What a nice surprise.
That release year though, oooft. Cyberpunk 2077 will be out by then. Inb4 it comes out on the same day.
i thought they were making a cop game after va-11 hall-a? i guess anime wifes and bartending rakes in more cash but i found Va-11 Hall-A to be fairly enjoyable, mostly due to the atmosphere and music granted.
Ehhhhhhhh i like the older art more. This screams 90s anime which to me looked like garbage bar a select few shows.
I'm curious to see what they do with it. It's cool and different and I want to see how it'll be used.
Regarding Next Game
It’s not cancelled, it doesn’t have a lower priority, it wasn’t made
as a red herring. We expanded the staff (just one extra programmer) to
be able to handle more than one project at a time and this one is going
just fine, we just decided to reveal N1RV Ann-A first because it was the
most polished one at the moment. Next Game is our biggest project to
date and as such it needs more time to get pretty before we can show you
gameplay. Hopefully there’s as much excitement for it as N1RV Ann-A
going forward.
Makes me wonder, did they ever get proper out of Venezuela?
From my understanding they actually weren't wanting to leave. It was a crapsack, but it's their home and provided inspiration for VA-11 Hall-A, so they weren't specifically in a rush to leave. Now this was a couple of years ago so quite possible that has changed.
va-11 hall-a is probably one of my favorite games ever and it's gonna be real fuckin' hard to let go of julianne stingray but i'm curious to see how this one plays out.
I can understand them not wanting to leave their home, but from what I understood the rolling brownouts and civil unrest not only created a harsh situation for them, but also added like a year onto the development time of Valhalla. I have to say I admire their resolve if that's true, though.
The way this trailer looks is kind of similar to how Valhalla looked way back when it was announced. I would take everything here with a grain of salt, especially considering that release date. I would be surprised if they have been working on this for more than a month or two.
This should be the Gwent of Cyberpunk 2077 :v
2020 is going to be a good year for cyberpunk
More cyberpunk stuff, yes please.
Not entirely sure about the change in artstyle yet, but who knows it might grow on me.
One thing that looks favorable is that the drinks are made with actual ingredients now instead of the chemical stuffs in the last game.
It'll be nice to actually make the drinks that your MC serves irl.
Love the PC-98 aesthetic
Thinking about it, my one concern with this is the characters. VA-11 Hall-A thrives in it's chracters, so it's a question if they can catch lighting again with this cast. I'd like to think so but they set a high bar for themselves.
I'm not immediately as big a fan of the art style, but VA-11 Hall-A unexpectedly won my heart so I'll definitely come at this optimistically. I hope it's hella comfy and the music is as good
i hope the cool dogs come back
