Literally recently we had a clan of 6 people in a session on the official server of FacePunch. Played for 3-4 days, accumulated explosives for 45,000 sulfur. Today I was driving from work and imagining how we would raid and have fun with them. I got into the game and we got raided by two toddlers with cheats, who spammed shot us with AK47 and every bullet was a headshot, as well with a bolt action. Although for some players it is easy to headshot with a bolt action it is impossible to do so with AK47 as it has a strong recoil. We could not stop the raiders as they were clearly cheating, but one of my clan members managed to talk them getting some insight on how they were doing it. Cheaters said that they do not care about FacePunch bans because with each ban they just buy a new steam account with Rust on it for $ 1.5 and continue to play with cheats, while both have a Vac Bans on purchased accounts.
I do not know how the anti-cheat works, but strongly feel that this info could be useful for developers and if they block access to the game for oversold accounts and block access to accounts with Vac Bans, this will kill the majority of cheaters in Rust.
I hope this is not an empty word for you and you will be able to fix the current cheat problem in Rust. When I found out about this absurd, left the game and didn't feel like playing it, just deleted it until better times.
