Star wars life is utterly baffling... https://youtu.be/FVzc20Bm8Xo
THE NEWLY RENAMED EMPEROR PALPATINE SURGICAL RECONSTRUCTION CENTER
The SSD buried on Coruscant was pretty far fetched, but awesome in the moment when I was 16.
You think there were conspiracy theorists on Coruscant after the ship was docked that were looking at outlines of buildings and shield generators and putting out theories on the HoloNet, "LOOK AT THE OUTLINE, ITS A STAR DESTROYER, OPEN YOUR MINDS SHEEPLE"
Banthle?
Imagine having it brought up into space. Shit could kill the Imperial court before it can give the green light to fire the Death Star. Due to budget constraints the Executor was built out of cheap plasteel.
I'm still mad that Coruscant doesn't exist in the star wars universe now that it's been blown to hell. That was one of my favorite places in star wars lore and JJ abrams blew it up so kids could say "heh that was epic"
You mean the planets that were destroyed in The Force Awakens? That city planet wasn't Coruscant, it was Hosnian Prime. I don't blame you for mixing them up, I don't remember them even mentioning it in the movies.
WTF: is this video implying Luke used the force to make the aliens in Jabba's palace think he was the thicc dancing lady? The EU is a fucking joke, lol.
You had to give and take, and kind of ignore parts of it that didn't make sense/were stupid. Growing up reading the EU has prepared me well for dealing with Disney's Star Wars movies.
Coruscant wasn't destroyed.
All I want is an RTS game where i can build that.
Oh thank god, I thought it was implied that it was coruscant
Wouldn't be the first time JJ Abrams flippantly blew up a planet important to the setting.
Part of me gets the feeling that JJ wanted it to be Coruscant but the story group held him back on that.
I'm pretty sure that was just a joke, dude.
It was LucasFilm's decision to ignore the EU, they had actually decided it before Disney bought them that it would happen if George every made any future movies.
There was a lot of stuff I genuinely enjoyed in the EU, but I haven't touched most of it since I was...in the neighborhood of 14-16, so it might just be nostalgia goggles. Mostly I'm salty about Kyle Katarn not being canon anymore. Cassian Andor was a good nod, but it's just not the same, y'know?
Cassian wasn't a nod to Kyle, the writer did even know the character existed.
There was a EAW mod that let you build a brothel for the Criminal Underworld. My poor little mind did not comprehend what the building really was about, but man did it net me a shitton of credits per planet.
Look, the only reason I believed it was because the EU has some absolutely nutty retcons in it - like the robot bounty hunter from Empire briefly taking control of the Death Star II, and proceeding to troll the Emperor by slamming doors shut in front of his face.
Oh damn, really? There were quite a few bits where he felt like a very active reference to Kyle, both in terms of appearance and actions. Maybe that was just my wishful thinking.
I read the Rogue Squadron novels a few years ago, and it was mostly still good. Not as good as I remembered thinking it was, but it held up for the most part. Wraith Squadron is still completely awesome.
I read the title as "How Palestine hid a..." and got all sorts of worried for a minute
