I thought they stopped doing PC reviews and were reverting to just console benchmarks?
Where did you hear that? Digital Foundry have been consistently putting out anything tech related which also means console stuff too.
Nope.
They focus on all games and systems.
Rich's optimistic outlook on the tensor and raytracing stuff is refreshing, if overly optimistic.
who can really blame him, ray tracing is the way of the future.
Because some people prefer rational thinking over making face value judgements
Crazy how we went from Baking Raytraced 3D Renders into Sprites during the 16-Bit Era to actually achieving Real Time Raytracing. It's not perfect but god damn it means a lot in terms of how far we've come in terms Graphical fidelity.
My only fear is that Nvidia's crappy handling of the launch and etc will cause everyone and their dog to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I'm excited for raytracing processing to be integrated into cards, and the tensor cores are cool too (especially since Nvidia says developers can easily implement DLSS), but I could imagine that this going by the way of physx particles for a while if it doesn't gain any traction.
The performance is still really good but considering previous ti cards went for around $650-$700 I was hoping for way more of an increase than like 30% considering the $1000+ price
while the tensor and ray tracing stuff is cool, the price tag is still a scam imo
I'm really hoping that ray tracing takes off as a whole and that AMD gets into that game.
The real problem with these cards is the extremely high pricing, shit's fucking ridiculous
