But that's clearly a lie. He's obviously not for progressive change and is one of the most powerful corporate Democrats who would likely veto a medicare-for-all approach if the state legislature tried to pass it just like has happened in other 'Democrat' states. I honestly don't think governors should have the power to veto at all, or at least it should only take 55% of the state legislature to beat the veto rather than a super majority.
Cuomo wins because he does everything for New York City. He's all but abandoned the rural areas and those areas don't even feel like they belong to New York at all.
The destruction caused by city centralization has basically warped every state into two different versions and then made them compete for the same resources.

this is how almost every citizen revolt starts and unless your willing to brutally repress them you must change your government to meet them at least half way otherwise it would turn into a civil war. The only way to avoid this is to not end up in this situation in the first place and actually serve your people.
