I made a balance report on rust after playing for 2000 hours. Would be nice to get some feedback. A balance report that analyses resources needed by Raiders compared to Defenders as well as a overall gameplay review. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14EkhWwPse0&t=684s
Would have more watchable without the crap music in the background. If they got rid of twig raiding with ladders and raid towers you would solve alot of problems. I agree that traps would be better if you could hide them and also place them under water, I never place turrets where they can be attacked from the rear, this weak spot is well documented. I suggested the conversion of normal to Hq Metal years ago to FacePunch and nothing happened. The idea of sharing blueprint knowledge does not make sense at all. Clans would learn all the bp's in a very short time. I also suggested the "personal" converter a while ago too, I am glad the server i play on already has it.
-music mind not be that crap for orther viewers besides that - i still got the rights to use this track -thx for agreement on traps - they are almost useless at current state of the game -turrets are not only vunerable from the rear - shotgun traps and autoturrets can always be outrun and emptyed or destroyed with a bow naked -to bad they didnt do that - hw conversion would be amazing -about Bluebrint sharing - Whats the difference - Clans are usaly full of people that are on 24 / 7 - there is always somebody with all the BP´s - thats exactly what i ment : After a wipe cycle groups of players always let one person do they research because it would be a waste of resources to split the scrap metal (you cant get a BP twice by experimenting) The mechanic there is just not neccesary and stupid. If a group of players has acess to certain BP why wouldnt you design the "learning" process as a group acivity. Also - beeing able to "teach" BP would end up in more trading and "comunity building" (as described in the end) Again: Big clans - always somebody on - always acess to BP´s Small groups - (lets say 3-4 people) - only one person has the majority of BP´s to Progress faster and beeing able to keep up with clans within the first 10 days of a cycle. The rest of the group gets bored by not beeing able to craft
