The tribunal declined to confirm it had ordered the evaluation but said the assessments were a normal part of such probes. "I thought I had seen it all: but no! For having denounced the horrors of #Daesh in tweets, the 'justice' is submitting me to a psychiatric evaluation! How far will they go?" Le Pen wrote on Twitter. "It's UNBELIEVABLE." She later told reporters she would skip the test. "I'd like to see how the judge would try and force me do it," she said. Le Pen was placed under formal investigation in March on suspicion of disseminating violent images. The law states that medical evaluations must be carried out in such probes. Le Pen and her party have been targeted by a series of other judicial probes, including over the alleged misuse of EU funds. According to a copy of the court document dated September 11, which Le Pen published on Twitter, the judge wants the evaluation to assess if she suffers from any mental illness and, if so, if that could have affected her understanding of what she was doing when she posted the tweets. The expert is also tasked with determining whether her mental health could be a risk to the public. I'm playing devils advocate here but I don't think sharing the attrocities the number one enemy of the world right now constitutes as a mental illness. Sure it was a really stupid move socially and politically but I find the inability to view death and the realities of the human race and life without severe emotional damage is a mental illness in itself.

A lot of people are legitimately not aware of how horrible the ongoing treatment of people by ISIS is. I know people that legitimately think that ISIS is completely gone and a "solved problem". Also, the post was hardly saying "no u". I don't like a lot of Resonant's posts, but let's criticize what's actually being said, not just the character.

There are many reasons why she might be needing a psychological evaluation, I really haven't followed this woman or know much about her mannerisms but I'm talking about the social stigma in viewing or sharing this material as opposed to being mentally ill if you share or view them personally. There are very likely alot of mentally ill people who get off on this material in very disrespectful ways but she is using them as a shock and awe tactic to bring the realities of what is actually going on over there to the general public who may not see them otherwise to achieve a pro party response. This will almost certainly have already been discussed and agreed upon by the heads of party as a method to procure votes. While this may be viewed as morally disrespectful, her intentions (that are sincere to her own beliefs) is that she is saving her countrymen from having these people join the ranks of her society. Trump is the exception when posting things the party has to back up later without their foreknowledge, it would be unwise to attribute this to any leader as it is obviously extremely damaging to the relationships within the party and shines a bright example of what not to do for everyone else. The psychological evaluation was picked up as part of the probe as the quote states above, and the press have picked up on this to discredit her as a leader regardless of whether the tribunal has confirmed it will even happen or not.

ISIS is horrible but I don't know if I'd consider them the 'number one enemy of the free world right now'. They're a bunch of radicals shitting on their own people, practically speaking they only have as much influence on the 'free world' as the free world allows them to have. The real Number One Enemy of the Free World is a certain country which fakes its own democracy and makes a constant and consistent effort to fuck with the democratic processes of other countries via hacking, media manipulation, and massive propaganda campaigns, which assassinates targets on foreign soil with impunity in spite of the obvious nature of the offense.

Me condemning assfucking on a global scale done by another nation does not suggest that I condone assfucking done on the part of my own nation as well. Also the US does still more or less have actual elections, at least elections that don't result in more than 100% voter turnout in favor of the incumbent candidate. I think we're too sanitised to war at this point such that I would argue we should be exposed more to the harsh realities of what it means to initiate military actions. I hate Le Pen, but the basic concept of showing ugly things may actually help make the world more empathetic and peaceful, ironically.

It's regular procedure when it comes to terrorism probes, iirc. If they establish she was sane and in full capacity of understanding what she was posting she may get into legal trouble because I'm pretty sure the French government isn't too keen on its own citizens sharing around content meant to glorify a terrorist group by showing off its kills, when we have a pretty stern tradition of not giving these murderous retards any more screen time than they deserve (which is to say absolutely fucking none).

The fact of the matter is that when it comes to terrorist organizations, the same rules apply as do to mass shooters. The amount of actual societal damage that they are capable of causing is relatively minimal. But by constantly publicizing and sensationalizing their attacks and actions, you give them an 'in' to change public policy negatively for decades to come.
