troy baker summons an anus-faced goo monster to eat a greasy biker
This is the closest thing to a gameplay sequence that I've seen regarding Death Stranding.
is that The Joost on Norman's back?
Getting MGS boss battle vibes from this.
Getting Dark Souls / Bloodborne vibes to this.
Getting Death Stranding - The Man in the Golden Mask [TGS 2018] vibes from this.
Man Ocelot really changed when they took away his revolvers
The game looks both awesome and esoteric as fuck.
Kojima posted the Japanese version on Twitter and I might just have to play the game in Japanese https://twitter.com/HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN/status/1043804653660581888
I don't know, I think I like gaudy cowboy Skeletor more for this character, but it's still interesting to hear him in another language
Kojima take my money again you fucking asshole i love you
At first I thought this game was going to be another stealth-action game. Then I thought it was going to be a stealth walking simulator. I now have NO idea what this game is anymore.
Neither does Hideo Kojima.
Where's the gameplay though?
MGSV kept showing of gameplay between E3 trailers though and even had behind the scenes engine stuff where they showed of how they made the levels, the 2013 trailer even half focused on the gameplay and gave you an idea just how the gameplay had changed this time and what to expect from it. So far we have seen no gameplay from this aside from some walking around, most likely cause the game was announced too early and there really isn't any gameplay to show of yet.
I like this more than regular Troy Baker. He's too goofy and jarring, some of his delivery is just bad. "COURSE IT DOESSS."
This kinda deflates the excitement from me, i really liked the lonely somber atmospheric tone from previous trailers. Was looking forward to being weirded out by the threats present, not knowing exactly what was going on seemed like a big part of the game. Trying to make sense of the madness was what i felt was alluring, this just straight up shows a try-hard looking Mary Sue character controls them. He even summons a big boss in the most video gamey fashion ever. I don't know, a part of me feels some of the magic is gone if a character like this exists in the universe.
genius kojumbo at it again
Well, at least if it turns out the gameplay is boring they'll be able to cut it together and made a decent movie out of it.
it's going to be incredibly similar to MGS5
These Kojima trailers are so fucking lame at this point.
Don't forget we already have enough gameplay shown before! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pF6rUaXUJik
The trailers themselves are fine, but personally the problem I'm having is that it's been over two years since that initial E3 2016 trailer, and while there's been various other cinematic trailers since, literally the only real gameplay footage shown aside from this (which is just a cutscene anyway), is literally just walking around. These cryptic trailers that gave very little info were fun at first, but IMO it's gotten old.
man you guys put so much stock into seeing gameplay as if this game is gonna release before we see ANY gameplay. I doubt sony would be investing this much money into an exclusive if it wasn't going to play well considering all their exclusives have been incredible. Plus lets not forget that moving through the series, the gameplay in every MGS game just got better and better. I get the frustration but it's nice to be on an unfiltered Hideo ruse cruise. I'm banking on E3 next year for gameplay
I'm okay waiting for a real gameplay video because I remember being burnt pretty badly bioshock: infinite, which looked better in the previews than in the final game.
No, clearly the more logical explanation is that Kojima has been leading both Sony and gamers on a ruse cruse for years, while spending all the money on cocaine and hookers.
Im sick of not seeing gameplay, I hope kojima isnt too caught up in his ego. He is great at what he does but at a certain point we need to see what this game even is.
You know, that reminds of something that really isn't the same thing, but I find it funny that we know more about the actors in the game than the actual game itself.
I mean he's already hinted at various gameplay elements in the past and the last trailer showed you have a gun so it's not just walking simulator. Personally I am much more invested in the story but Kojima is the kind of guy that will try and do new/different things mechanically. As his history shows he isn't a slouch when it comes to gameplay.
