A.k.a. The Mark Knight.
You know, if not for the out of place accent, He'd probably make a decent Joker in a semi-serious movie, Similar to Nicholson's performance
that's because he basically is the joker when he's not on-camera
This video shows how good of acting you can get out of even one of the most infamously bad actors with a good director.
A pencil is also Wiseau's greatest weapon, but only because it's something with which he writes a script.
Wouldn't that make a pencil Wiseau's worst enemy
In some ways, but his power to confuse and make minds supple is his greatest power.
Honestly give him an acting coach, not one to make him more hammy, but literally just to get better flow of his lines and you have the making of an outstanding Joker.
He could absolutely work as the Joker, it's just that instead of focusing on strictly following lines he should instead be encouraged to go as apeshit as possible and record his natural improvisations that he usually does.
if he had a deeper voice too he'd somehow work tbh
It should definitely be spookier sounding however we have to keep in mind that Mark Hamil's interpretation of the Joker is not necessarily the only valid one.
I am baffled that anyone would, without a sense of irony, suggest Tommy Wiseau would make a good Joker in anything beyond a fan-film like this. Not just because of his accent, but because he's an awkward over-actor. What he lacks in skill or talent he certainly makes up for in passion... for whatever that's worth.
Most film jokers are defined by overacting though.
I think tommy could make a good joker if the script writers & directors know how to utilise him and his quirks.
Like it was mentioned to him before he went and made the Room by acting coaches that he would make for good villain and aim for such, but obviously he was too set on being the "american hero"
Considering what he's doing now, I think he might give such a role a shot.
If he doesn't get a serious role as a Joker, just having him act out as newly original written villainous character should be really interesting in the hands of the right writers and directors.
I can even see him as a video game character, maybe something like a Far Cry antagonist.
Okay, uh, 2:35-2:50 was... pretty solid. Can't believe I'm saying that about a Tommy Wiseu performance. His laugh just kinda... works for the role?
