So I've been looking around for some type of program to assist me in drawing out my layout of my maps. Right now I mostly use paint and a whiteboard that I have, but i'm looking for something more like a blue print. If you guys have any recommendations I would love to check them out.

Something like this would be really nice, I don't know if this image is paint of some program.
It may sound silly, but Minecraft is always good for measurements and getting a general look of your map.
What I ended up doing was creating a bunch more color shifted dev_blendmesures. That way I could quickly block out what should be walls, floor, ceiling, terrain and so on but be able to replace all with a click of a button to see how it looks.
For something more architecturally oriented, I would recommend Google Sketchup, or Layout. It's really useful for creating floor plans and sections if that's what you're after.
Otherwise, I use photoshop since it's got far more options when it comes to representing LoS and making sure your floor plans line up/make sense for multi level structures.
