That's some bad optics
Does she really have the moral authority now to say what is and isn't in the national interest? She's basically making every excuse to continue on Brexit as if that were ever in national interests and she's running hard into a time wall with no deal secured
She's putting party before country
Theresa May isn't in the national interest.
To be honest, we just had an election and she lost seats, and my right wing friend has even said he'd vote Labour out of spite if another election was called, so I doubt this will happen.
They won't call an election or allow another referendum because they know they'll probably lose. So all that posturing about how everything now is about "duh will o da peeple" goes up in smoke.
It certainly isn't in her best interest. Which is what she really means.
Apparently being the PM means you can just ignore the fact that not everyone is in agreement with your shit.
Theresa May will be remembered as possibly the worst Prime Minister we’ve ever had.
Leadership of the government going into brexit was always going to be a poison chalice, Boris would have easily won but he ducked out knowing the whole thing was going to turn into a shitfire and the best thing he could do was distance himself from any position of actual responsibility.
In the end it was either going to be May or some nobody who probably would have managed to do an even worse job.
Well if they aren't going for a new general election, means Labour will push for a new referendum.
