If any gender is demeaned by this meme, it's men. The meme is all about how the man has no sense of moral commitment to the woman he's literally holding hands with, and the meme resonates because we as a society find it entirely relatable. "Yep, that is exactly how men are! Lol!"
Of course, it's absurd to say this meme is meant to demean any gender, because it isn't and doesn't. It demeans a personality, notably the personality of not having moral commitment.

The Swedish government and other higher classed people like to do stupid stuff like this to put on a facade of progressiveness to try and look good to the outside world while continuously ignoring the actual problems we've had in the country for years that are just growing worse and worse. It's pretty obvious that richer, high class Swedes live in a completely different world and act's shocked when people are starting to vote for more extremist parties or do like me and just move country since I get way better opportunities outside of Sweden and instead of trying to fix this they just double down on their fake progressiveness instead of fixing the problem.
