Ive been attempting to make a map recently, but I've run into an issue. when I was first making the map, I just put a massive skybox around everything, which obviusly had leaks. I didnt worry about it though, and just kept going along. But now that the map is much closer to completion I decided to go and fix the skybox, but I've ran into a problem. Ive had no trouble compiling the map with leaks, but when I fix the leaks then try to compile, my cpu reaches its max, and stays that way until I eventually force quit hammer. I really don't know why this is happening, any and all help is appreciated.
The Mapping section is this way. As for your problem, I think max CPU usage is normal. Compiling is resource-intensive. Why is it really a problem?
When compiling a map with leaks, VVIS skips doing its calc since their is a theoretically infinite space to do it for. Now that his map it sealed off the quick compiles go out the window since VVIS is actually running
