Before you lose your breakfast in a throbbing orgasm bear in mind this could be ANYTHING, up to and inclduing a striaght to service cartoon or something, because a year is not a long time to get a FX laden movie off the ground, even with having the principle studio already on board.

who knows, the first movie wasn't all that cg heavy and was still perfectly fine. Maybe they just have such a good time making them they actually stay on budget and schedule.
Didn't the second movie come out this year? How could there already be another one coming out on the 21st of December?
By the arcane process know as 'fastracking', basically the people inolved sat down and talked it out before this movie was over or right after it released.
Bear in mind this could also be animated like Xmas parody shit, which means the story and voice could be done already, and your in the pipe for animation on the rest.
It's apparently rumored to be a fucking PG-13 cut of Deadpool 2, with the reasoning at Fox reported to be that they're afraid Disney won't let Deadpool into the MCU unless they can prove to Iger that he can work without an R rating.
Blech.
They should just show a cut of Mickey mouse fucking the viewer in the ass because that's basically what this is.
