While watching these videos, I noticed that some of the DLC items from the 5th game showed up in the videos. I don't know if they're just for the beta like Tira is, or if they'll actually be included with the vanilla game on release. I guess only time will tell.
Also pretty excited for the extra voice options and the new body type features. Finally, we can make skinny guys and burly women.

According to Kayane's interview with Soul Calibur producer Mokuhiro Okubo, the reasoning Tira was made into a DLC character was due to lots of requests by fans to add Tira in, but the development
team was already far into completing the game into where she almost didn't make the cut; thus becoming a Season Pass bonus DLC.

Generalized skeleton structure will do that.
Lizardman may not even use his tail for attacks.
Altho leave it to player's creativity to come up with the silliest or sickest looking characters within the first days.
Because publishers are a motherfucker, especially when its bandai namco. From what they said, they were near the end of the launch cycle and didn't have time to add her in before Q/A. So they asked the bandai and bandai told them it can be added, but only as DLC.

Hopefully they add some returning bonus characters and make sure people can use their styles for custom characters.
I almost want the game for the editor, they could totally do a character editor free version like Black Desert and just bait you with purchasing the game to try it out
Honestly I can't wait to see what other parts are unlockable beyond this.
Also, it does makes sense for them to bring back parts from the previous games in case someone wanted to recreate a character they'd created in a past game.

They should just bring back the 3 Star Wars styles and call them legally distinct names with legally distinct totally-not-lightsabers.

So Soul Calibur is the first game where you can make your own Witcher OC. Nice, just as predicted. However, any choice but Skeleton or Lizard man is just plain wrong.

Fuck, this is another one of those reasons why Bandai Namco should have made all the equipment unisexual like Sims 4 did, though I don't really see them wanting to do something like that.
