I'd never heard the term 'leitmotif' before, but I'd say a great example of it in action is Game of Thrones - all the houses and some characters have specific themes and reincorporation in their respective soundtracks, creating a richer, more immersive world.
I really like this guy, I hope his other videos are as good.
Anything reputable utilizes leitmotifs. It is very, very common.
His entire channel is excellent
I know it's common, but it's an example of it being used very, very extensively.
