In regards to rapes in Sweden the changes in law that widened what is categorized as rape has been one of the bigger reasons for escalation in reports. Also add on to that the fact rape statistics factor in when the report was made rather than when it actually occurred. There are many other factors but I fathom you ought to know of them. Statistics like these make it hard to argue a single point of failure when so much factors in. If we simplify issues and hand-wave different explanations it creates a narrow mindset and black/white attitudes which leads to redundant, competitive discussions instead of educational discourse. If you are serious about this stuff don't bog yourself down to that standard.

But don't try to apologize for rapists by going "Well it's only this specific horrible type of rape that they make up 80% of". Being raped by someone you don't know is what a lot of people are scared of and if you are raped by someone you never met it's apparently far more likely than not to be an immigrant. So first of all hard brexit is a terrible idea due to the economics system we currently live in. Exploitation is baked into the system of liberalism and capitalism and there's always going to be unfairness and inequality within it. With brexit the UK is seemingly trying to position its own population into the "more exploited" part. The video mentions 40 billion pounds in potential trade but there are no sources. At all. Piffle is also lying by omission here because he doesn't tell us what the value of the UK trade with the EU is. (it's £241bn). Bunch of lies there already. So post brexit you'd actually need a world trade deal. The UK isn't the protagonist of reality and there's no reason to expect deals made with far-off foreign nations to be any better than the current deal with the EU. We have to factor in the weakened trade power/leverage, the incompetent government, the vulnerability of a no deal UK, the cost of shipping things from the united states and canada and other countries etc. Geography gets in the way of a world deal a lot since you'd be paying more for goods from the EU for your largest and most frequent and time-sensitive purchases (electricity, food) and wasting tons of money on things that used to be free or cheap. A tanker ship across the ocean will never be as cheap as that same ship across just the english channel. You probably have 0 idea how a business works but multinational operations run with massive amounts of insurance and massive hedges on when their materials and products get shipped and how. Insurance companies really exploded in size and value when international shipping to the new world came about. Those hedges and those concerns manifest themselves as raised prices for consumers. It makes no sense to get things from across the ocean when you can get them from the mainland. On the plus side you'd open up exclusive trade bargaining options with foreign countries. Those options are probably going to suck. With solidarity and voting as a single bloc (15% of world trade according to piffle) the EU can bargain with far more leverage than any single constituent country can. If bargaining alone the UK may be forced to accept deals that suck just because countries can trade with the EU or anyone else instead. There is nothing special about the UK. Piffle points out all the flaws like the 3500 quid for immigrants per year* but none of the benefits for staying in the EU apart from free trade. Piffle doesn't mention the power that the UK has in the EU at all either so it DOES look really one-sided from that perspective. On top of Tariffs (which are going to hurt your businesses because a ton of your customers are in the EU) the UK will suffer a whole sea of losses upon leaving (like the Copernicus and Galileo programs that the UK spent billions on and will lose in a no-deal) * a partisan billionaire-funded group came up with this figure.
