The gunplay really does look closer to Max Payne 3's gunplay, damn that's awesome!
I'm getting this on PS4 but I genuinely hope they're actually gonna get this on PC eventually (and unlikely too but hopefully not take forever to have one) since aiming with a mouse with that gunplay is gonna feel great.
Looks like they have done the SP justice, on launch at least. Very pleased with this, the physics look back to being great too.
Been rewatching that dueling clip, and I'm not really seeing any gnarly entry or exit wounds. Maybe they toned down the gore for the trailer?
The headshot at 3:28, looks like there's a exit wound on the side of his head, near the bottom leading up to his neck.
Yeah there's definitely a wound there

yes but there are a handful of exclusives that make it worth it imo
Sounded like a bunch of marketing jargon to me. And to be honest, I'm expecting more a side-grade instead of an up-grade much like GTA4 > GTA5
did you even watch the video? It clearly isn’t.
GTA V had "sidegrades"and compromises to physics because it was running on ancient hardware and what they were trying to do was simply too much, corners had to be cut.
Meanwhile they can go whole hog here. RDR 1 is 8 years old and on last gen stuff, this is a full fledged current gen title with tons of work, I really see no reason for why there would be any downgrades or mere sidegrades.
First person added from the start and by the seems of it, actually considered throughout?
Ok regardless of the MP thats a really good touch
God damn this is looking good. Hopefully the story won’t be a let down
You sure proved me wrong, I mean how did I not see the video?
is there any reason why they really don't seem to be doing a pc launch?
Did he died?
$$$
Plenty will buy it twice like with V
possibly money. Getting people to buy twice. Worked last time.
They'll say something like: "oh we're ironing bugs out so PC gets the best experience!."
depending who you ask: they need to optimise it for pc hardware or so they can sell the same game twice by releasing it at a later date.
Lol, I know my post is going to come across as an out of touch asshole but, jesus christ how naive are you hahaha
The gunplay animations look so damn smooth and intricate. Like the hammer cocking or how he moves his finger back to the second trigger with the double barrel. Love these little touches that come from their Max Payne 3 heritage.
They’ve never lied in these gameplay videos before
how about you quit taking the piss and offer up some actual arguments
holy mother of volumetric lighting

It's probably because people will buy it twice if they delay the launch of the PC version.
Take it with a grain of salt, but we have had two reliable leakers in the GTA community both say that RDR2 PC is going to be delayed launch. One leaker mentioned this in October 2016 on 4chan and the other briefly mentioned it on a recent podcast. The latter stating that the last time he heard about the PC version is that it was supposed to come out in June/July 2019(he also mentioned that he doesn't like giving dates because Rockstar isn't very good at keeping a certain date for releases). We also apparently had a leak from a Rockstar employee's LinkedIn page that mentioned the PC version.
Well for one, everything portrayed in this trailer was the "free-flowing" aspect of the world and what you can do; so lets get into that. This "Random Encounter" system was in RDR1; you would come across characters and be able to rob, extort, interact and everything else you said you can do in these videos. They've taken a lot of their time reiterating the idea that "you can do anything" which (honestly dude) should be an immediate red-flag. GTA5 had the same kind of marketing campaign; taking a lot of the mundane aspects of the pedestrian A.I and exaggerating them. They made it seem like you could fully interact with pedestrians, leading to diverse dynamic scenarios; when in reality you couldn't interact in any way bar spouting a positive or negative voice-line to them. In fact, their system was so poor in-practice, that simply standing beside pedestrians would result in the Police being called on you. But if you were to view the system through the lens of the trailers, you would think the game was using OpenAI to run its systems.
If you were to keep looking into it too, you would notice the ominous camera work on some of the shots in the trailer. This being a video game and all you should really develop an eye for gameplay, and Rockstar did a lot of work masking cutscenes as gameplay in this trailer. The "random encounters" they were talking about (touted as being so dynamic and spontaneous) are now leading in from cutscenes? If you're leading in from a cutscene that means a cutscene had to halt your regular gameplay. How did you get into the cutscene? Did an NPC stop you in your tracks and put you in a cutscene (at which point how is it not considered a mission)? Did you show up to a point on the map where this NPC was? In reality do you really think that they programmed all of this into the game? It's a big bucket of empty words is what it is. Grand Theft Auto 5; the greatest game of a generation with infinite opportunity; had two activities. Golf and Tennis.
I wouldn't be surprised if 2K decided to never bring it to PC because of the Hacking and Modding done to GTA5 PC.
thanks duders
you've given me a little hope
Some of the things they're talking about sound like the generic shit that was fun one time in GTA 5 then you never do for the rest of the game, like robbing a store.
Why would they care about that? The game would still probably be very profitable on PC even if the MP ends up being the same exact shitshow as GTAO.
