What is there to disagree with this video???
It sucks that games we consider to be the world's best is made using slave labor.
Some would call it Workaholism, Commitment or Dedication.
Whether you loved L.A. Noire, the latest Battlefield and even the Witcher games, there's no denying that
most of this stuff is made by our world's most vulnerable.
Which is the real tragedy of it all; We'd think of the people who work on the games we love as real dedicated and
brave individuals who take time out of their lives to entertain us all.
Yet they're seemingly treated as the welcome mat to wipe the mud off your shoe. It's disgusting how little
reward or common decency is given to them.
It's a sad reality indeed that all of the ambition, and all of the advancements in gaming are made with crushing labor. It's a reality that I hope one day becomes a distant fairy tale, but I hold my doubts.
Labor rights, unfortunately. The US has a bit of a labor problem and unions are the weakest they've been in a century.
the games industry is going through a lot of what early hollywood went through before the guilds, there really needs to be some industry wide union to curb the overwhelming corporatism
Every single time. Corporations will never, ever give workers the rights they deserve unless workers fight for them.
tell that to the US GOVERNMENT
In America it’s pretty much expected to work your self to death or get replaced.
As a Game Artist my self, it’s especially competitive because there are hundreds of people who want the job as bad as you do.
