• Kavanaugh classmate accuses him of lying under oath RE: drinking

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-45710340 "I can unequivocally say that in denying the possibility that he ever blacked out from drinking, and in downplaying the degree and frequency of his drinking, Brett has not told the truth." He noted that it was not Judge Kavanaugh's drinking habits in college that worried him - it was the fact that he made questionable statements under oath. "If he lied about his past actions on national television, and more especially while speaking under oath in front of the United States Senate, I believe those lies should have consequences," Prof Ludington said. This guy also says that he was "often belligerent", something I read somebody say a few days ago, but I don't think this is supposed to be the same guy, however, even if it is the same dude, there's clearly some additional context and I believe that merits posting about it.
University student who never got blackout drunk Sure, pull the other one
I'm so surprised. /s
The man who couldn't keep his answer straight about just how much he likes beer is a bad drunk... who could possibly have foreseen this.
Shame lying only affects Democrats and not the people who investigate them for scandals and lying.
This should be abundantly clear by now: it doesn't matter if Dr. Ford's allegations against Kavanaugh are true, it doesn't matter if you think being a rapist disqualifies someone from the Supreme Court, Kavanaugh is an emotionally unstable perjurer who has openly stated he is incapable of being an impartial judge, he is not qualified to serve on any court.
The Constitution literally has no qualifications as to who can serve as a federal judge beyond that they serve "during good behavior".
It's crazy how specific things need to be spelled out these days compared to when the constitution was written and how everyone just expected people to be decent
They couldn't have conceived how much a turtle-human hybrid could have ruined things. Trump literally now holds the record for most appeals court judges appointed in their first two years, after blocking Obama for years.
No qualifications to who can serve (as in be hired) to be a federal judge, but they do have specified code that defines what 'good behavior' means -- namely the Code of Ethics. By that same Code of Ethics, he is not fit to serve as a federal judge. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133737/9f1187e7-08c5-4275-a395-b4afd75e95f4/image.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/133737/e2569486-0735-446a-a84a-25e24dca5540/image.png
the senate must advise and consent to it but then the constitution doesn't say how much of the senate should consent which is the biggest problem. it takes two thirds to remove a sitting official but only 50 to consent to a judge, something that shouldn't be.
