More and more proof the DNC is just too disconnected from the reality of their supporters on the ground
Tom Perez and a number of democrats are my list of politicians who I'd like to be out of Earth's orbit.
They probably view voting for Kavanaugh as losing the battle (lol) but winning the war. Voting for him might help keep red state senators in their seats and build towards a majority.
I can't see it working if any of them vote yes whilst 2 Republicans vote no. If a Democrat is responsible for confirming him they might get a tiny boost from the right but the left will be disgusted and hang them out to dry.
Fuckin' garbo source mate:

Extreme left bias, mixed rate of factual reporting.
Tom Perez said that he would continue to work with Democratic Senators who vote for Kavanaugh, but stated in no uncertain terms that Kavanaugh is a terrible nominee for the SCOTUS.
Should be apparent with the first sentence of the op-ed
Plus, he might only be saying as such. He may actually lambast anyone who votes for Kavanaugh, but publicly says "we aren't forbidding anyone from voting for him" to appear less partisan, and thus less hostile / more favorable to independents.
then again that would imply the democratic party leaders can think ahead, which we all know isn't true
Seriously, Splinter is just Gawker 2.0, minus the gay outing and sex tape posting.
if the gop votes no then the thinking is red state democrats would all vote with the democrats.
I don't know, but I'm switching dislike to coin.
Don't think you're going to get much if an explanation out of GQAT.
Damn, that's an old reference.
But still hate Perez of try divide their Party everytime he pissed Left-wingers.
It's important to keep in mind who gains the most from a divided set of Democrats. If the OP's article is manufactured controversy, who started it and why?
It feels good to pat ourselves on the back for being the "true" left standing with ideals like those held by Bernie Sanders, but a part of that should be staying wary of how the media can influence our perspective.
Vote in the primaries for the candidate that best represents you on the Democratic side, but if they lose, you should still vote for the other one. Don't waste your voting power to stroke your pride.
