Welp, everyone on the green isle better brace for The Troubles II: Footgun Boogaloo
If I was British, I would have voted Remain for one reason over all, that Leave could start the Troubles again. Only 20 years after peace was finally sorted out too.
My thoroughly conservative god-father thinks Britain should take ROI back - the naivete of some leave voters is staggering.
Jesus christ is that a thing among crazy conservatives in the UK? That's as bad as wanting to secede from the union again
It's even an outlier for hyper conservatives here, to be honest - he's a special case. He defends really shitty Conservative moves, like that "Let's spend the £350m on the NHS instead" bus advert. His defence of this is that, because it says 'LET US', that it's not actually saying that they're going to do that, which is such a bullshit interpretation that completely ignores the colloquial implications of the phrase "LET'S." Him and I get along and debate politically a lot, but I'm so glad he's not in charge of this country, heh. He said the other day that if this Kavanaugh guy had covered a woman's mouth and tried to undress her, that was just "kids fooling around." =/
We are already a loyal country under the Queen, go take Ireland instead.
RETAKE THE EMPIRE ALL OF IT INCLUDING THOSE DAMN NUCLEAR ARMED YANKS ....is what I think some people really do think they should do.
The reality you live in must be a magical place.
You'd think over half a millennium of violence would show everyone England should leave Ireland alone.
Well, they did film LoTR in New Zealand, so perhaps Boilrig is under the impression he's Sauron, sowing discontent into the masses to destroy the Hobbits of the Shire, hence wanting us to destroy Ireland due to his conception that leprechauns are Hobbits.
You fucking stereotype.
Well, this is way how to slowly revived (or rather created new) The Troubles when this gotta happen. Dumbasses

So THAT'S why the NZ website misses the country off the world map! https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/87930862/government-website-features-world-map-missing-new-zealand
...are you making a joke about how off the wall and fringe your thoughts are?
Long live the Queen
The Cosmic Microwave Boilrig radiation is real, folks.
are you saying that wickedplayer's post reverberated through the ether and has returned to us, in full formed stupidity, in the form of boilrig in order to end our reality one thread at a time?
Yes. They're in a quantum entangled state. Only when we observe the superposition can we see who it is, but as soon as we stop looking, they are everywhere and nowhere and Boilrig is actually a 19 year-old housewife from Wisconsin.

That otherkin-for-britain post made about Boilrig only becomes more relevant by the day. This is just pathetic to watch.
Bolrig is just obessed with nationalism and ties his own identity in with the national idenity, or rather some heavily propagandized version of events.
So @Boilrig is people being killed and buildings being destroyed by car bombs a price you're willing to pay to reinforce your delusions of British significance?
So this means they lose their DUP support right? Taxpayers money well spent right there...
What if North Ireland just seceded from the UK instead?
I agree with boilrig. Raise steam on the Grand Fleet and set course for Dublin. It's time to bring Ireland back into the fold. It's time to impose Pax Brextania. Honestly at least we'd get further in negotiations.
But it's OK coz Boris (with a track record of wasting tens of millions on unbuilt bridges) suggests we build a bridge to northern ireland. Very red, white and blue brexit. (representing the stages of brexit, anger, fear and sadness)
@Boilrig Note how it says "UK" will enforce a hard border, not the EU. This is the UK's own mess it's about to cause, and blaming the EU for not cooperating with some 'innovative IT solution border' (which would not only fail but also be nigh impossible and yet another waste of taxpayer money) is ludicrous talk.
It technically has to be both sides to comply with WTO rules but ye we got ourselves into this crazy mess. Imagine some poor irish person who currently works across the border or sources their produce from across the border - their life will be messed up for ""taking back control""
