https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/trump-mocks-christine-blasey-ford-mississippi-campaign-rally-n916061 SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — President Donald Trump on Tuesday repeatedly mocked Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were teenagers, despite having said just days ago that he found her Senate testimony last week "very credible." In a one-man reenactment of Ford's appearance before the Judiciary Committee, with his voice alternating between an impression of her and of her inquisitor, Trump challenged the veracity of the testimony that paused his nominee's confirmation. The extended ridicule of Ford, delivered at the Landers Arena here in deeply conservative DeSoto County, stood in stark contrast to the respectful way in which Trump and his aides had previously treated her testimony, even as they have stood by Kavanaugh and his assertion that he never assaulted her or anyone else. The crowd in this county, which favored Trump 65 percent to 31 percent in 2016, cheered with gusto in the midst of his banter with himself. "A man’s life is shattered," the president said of Kavanaugh after making fun of Ford's testimony. "These are really evil people." Michael Bromwich, an attorney for Ford, called Trump's performance "a vicious, vile and soulless attack" and said the president is "a profile in cowardice." The president's tone on Ford's testimony clashed with his assessment last week. "I thought her testimony was very compelling, and she looks like a very fine woman to me, very fine woman," Trump said of Ford while speaking to reporters on Friday. But his new approach was welcome here, where several rally-goers said they did not believe Kavanaugh had assaulted Ford, and some said that he should be confirmed whether or not he had. "You have to forgive," said Michele Stuber, 55, of Holly Springs Mississippi. "If everybody in Congress had to 'fess up to everything they'd done ... there'd be nobody left." She said she's upset by the idea that an accuser should be believed automatically. https://www.nbcnews.com/video/trump-mocks-sexual-assault-allegations-against-kavanaugh-1335318595990?v=raila&
I'm shocked that a man who supported a pedophile for senator would make fun of a sexual assault victim. ' I thought the presidency had standards.
Seeing the crowd booing like this is a fucking performance of theatre is so depressing. Trump constantly manages to one-up himself on how awful he can be. I shouldn't still be surprised at how much of an irredeemable cunt he can be, but I never learn. Fuck him.
Yeah the President endorsing the Ayatollah of Alabama should have been the last straw. He endorsed a fascist theocrat who wants to remove the amendments after the initial ten, probably honestly thinks black people had it better under slavery, and thinks kindergarten is communist indoctrination.
Remember when people thought Trump was being super good and respectful and congratulated him on not lashing out like a child? Remember when he then lashed out like a child? Remember when he then mocked her like a fucking 5 year old that picks bugs apart?
Nothing more than an obscene attempt to distract from this dumpster fire of a supreme court nomination. Trump knows that the only way to take the spotlight off his perjuring rapist of a nominee is to say or do something even more morally appalling. It's the exact same strategy he's used before countless times.
Not sure why but I can't stop imagining thought bubbles onto the kid by trumps left arm. It really looks like he's thinking, "I think we still have pizza rolls at home. I should get back into fortnite. I wonder what Brylond and Khahyleigh are doing right now, I bet its not as boring as this."

every day i get just a few more reasons to be embarrassed of my country
Thankfully there's no conceivable way for any future president to be more embarrassing than Trump, there's certainly worse but Alex Jones will never be elected
How is this for real? Help.
Is it possible to just declare war on a specific party within a foreign country? Because I would love if the rest of the entire world just declared war on America... 's Republicans while helping the rest of us survive this dumpster fire.
"You have to forgive," said Michele Stuber, 55, of Holly Springs Mississippi. "If everybody in Congress had to 'fess up to everything they'd done ... there'd be nobody left." This is kind of a scary admission.
Then get them the fuck out
Americans should stop electing scumbags, methinks.
No, please. Give the rest of us even more reason to think America really is as retarded as people like to joke.
Just imagine if this was just 15 years ago and George Bush was doing this. He would have been strung up by even the right wing media in a second. What the hell happened to America? What the hell happened to us? To the people we were supposed to be?
Just spitballing. Was going on the principle of "try to shoot an incoming nuke out of the air with another nuke and hope you're far enough from the explosion."
no its normalizing the trope that all politicians lie and are scumbags which is absolutely a fallacy
A black man got elected. Which triggered the aging Boomer WASPs and their descendants, and threw them off the deep end.
Any leftovers of hypocritical dignity in the american right was killed when they elected Trump.
Man, Trump really is sub-human scum.
And a really shitty excuse. If they all have skeletons in their closet, that doesn't make it ok to put a guy like Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. It means we need to clean house and elect new congressmen. I also really hate the whole "everyone does these kinds of things, it's just boys being boys" defense. It's degrading towards women to suggest that they just need to shut up and deal with it (also a really big reason why people like Ford remained silent for so long), and as a guy it's just as insulting. I've never once contemplated rape, while sober or otherwise. I've never forced myself on anyone or harassed anyone. I've never laughed at the thought of other people doing these things. And the thing is I don't think that makes me special, I think it makes me normal, and attempts by wingnuts to pretend otherwise are motivated purely by self-interest. Anyway, It's really fucking terrible that the President of the United States is making fun of a woman willing to go on TV and testify under oath that she was sexually assaulted. This man has no shame and is a rare example of a genuinely terrible human being.
This was inevitable, the only reason he didn't do it from the get-go is cuz his lawyers told him not to. They let him off his leash at the rallies though
That would make them like Kavanaugh even more.

Gee, it almost seems like the swamp needs to be drained.
https://twitter.com/HuffPost/status/1047518512653238272?s=19 Even my hyper conservative mother says he shouldn't have said it... Though the people saying he shouldn't have said it don't necessarily disagree with what he said...
Flake is also saying that it's appalling.
"I wonder about the wisdom tactically." Even when condemning Trump, they have to suck his balls a bit.
