biologists stop stealing our prizes REEEEEEE
In all seriousness, I'm kinda bummed that John Goodenough has (once again) missed out on his well-overdue prize for his work on Li-ion batteries. Still, directed evolution and phage display are both very impactful developments that certainly fulfil Nobel's requirements, and phage display in particular ties in very nicely with this year's Physiology or Medicine prize.
Guess John just wasn't goodenough.
He's 96 years old and Novel Prizes aren't given posthumously.
