Between graphic nightmares featuring demonic monsters and hellish flames, Taylor received a message from God in April 2011, while he was surfing television channels. As he clicked to an interview with Trump, Taylor heard God say: “You are hearing the voice of the next president.”
Taylor has made other claims, which he calls “prophetic words”, including that Trump will serve two terms, the landmark supreme court ruling on abortion in the Roe v Wade case will be overturned, and that next month’s midterm elections will result in a “red tsunami”, strengthening Republican control of both houses of Congress.
Barack Obama will be charged with treason and Trump will authorise the arrest of “thousands of corrupt officials, many of whom are part of a massive satanic paedophile ring”. Trump will also force the release of cures for cancer and Alzheimer’s that are currently being withheld by the pharmaceutical industry.
Laugh if you want, but this is kind of terrifying. 🤢
Blows my mi d how many dumbfuck christians support this loon. Also note, I know a lot of christians aren't brainwashed, im mostly talking about these cult like denominations that act like hes the second coming of christ when hes had multiple wives, and tons of sexual and moral deviancy his entire lifetime.
I'm surprised this made by Dinesh D'Souza .
Bible thumpers will literally vote for who they are told to choose by their pastors, it's crazy. Trump is literally The Chosen One to them. The same Christians who will slander gays and try to put down anyone who supports homosexuality completely delete the time Trump held up the LGBT flag, as hollow a gesture from him as it was. Conservatives have some of the best selective memories I've ever encountered, not trying to be edgy but I think the way many of them are taught the Bible fuels this. This is all shit I've seen firsthand through my life.
I don't even think its a case of selective memories, they don't ignore the things these people do, they simply refuse to believe any of it. If they're told that Trump is a true Christian Paragon then they believe it, you can present all the evidence to the contrary that you want, they simply won't believe any of it.
Well, he's definitely trying to bring about the end of the world.
part of a massive satanic paedophile ring
so their own churches?
If God elected Trump, isn't that voter fraud?
God is above the law
Crazy religious fundamentalists really are only religious based on their own malicious intent. Prophecies like these are usually considered heretical and blasphemous, it's really gross how easy it is to manipulate masses like these.
Jeremiah 23:16
“Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you;
they fill you with false hopes.
They speak visions from their own minds,
not from the mouth of the Lord.
He already did one, guess for once in his career of dead horse beating he's not repeating that performance.
Plus it seems like they never heard of the story of the golden calf.
It's part of the Qanon cult, they believe that the US is secretly lead by a satanic pedophile cult made up of politicians, celebrities, businessmen, and government agents. They also think that Obama is going to lead a coup with government agents to overthrow Trump, and that Mueller is secretly allied with Trump to take down the satanic pedo cult. Oh and also all of the evil people are Democrats obviously.
hypocrisy is mostly what's driven me away from religion. its just infuriating how people can laugh off things like caring for people because some guy said if we did the opposite things would be better.
I'm starting to view Qanon as the real-life's version of the Sons of Jacob from The Handmaid's Tale.
Due to how frantic Trump's remaining supporters are becoming, the radicalization of the GOP by Trump's rhetoric, religious leaders pushing their viewers to be more fanatical and pro-Trump, and the growing of this Qanon Conspiracy theory.. The idea of them attempting to take violent act against the US if Trump is removed from office either from being voted out or being impeached via the Mueller investigation, is becoming more tangible by every passing day/moment.
It ought to be noted that there were students that protested the film being made at their university on religious grounds and some even transferred away from the production of the film.
Unfortunately, they were drowned out by fervent MAGA supporters.
Religion has a scary amount of influence in America.
Look at pretty much any place that has decided religious law should be enforced by the government. It's not a pretty picture.
Good on them for making a stand at least. It's just a shame they're drowned out despite the fact the MAGA-brand of religion is the one that should be pushed away and drowned out instead.
I think it's a little optimistic in that, the university that produced the film is the most conservative in the whole country and there were still detractors from the project.
The American colonies were settled by religious extremists. The pilgrims were harried out of England for their beliefs and the Puritans have it in their name, they wanted to reform the Anglican Church to be more
"pure".
They aren't even taught the bible. Evangelist Christianity in the United States, the religious right, they don't even go into the broad strokes, and you'd be hard pressed to find any evangelist who's read the scriptures from beginning to end
The religious right in the US is way more about reinforcing the authority and solidifying the power of the Republican Party than it is about religion, has been for decades, I've touched on it very briefly in an older post talking about The Party in general, and I would like to reemphasize this part of that post in particular
It's a good springboard for getting an idea where to start doing some research of your own, which I highly encourage. It's a completely filthy history that the US has with corporate interests and religious institutions, and it's terrifying how well it has continued to work for them right up to the present day
My foreword to that post serves as a good summary for this one, I think:
They've been doing this for actual decades. From the second Roosevelt enacted the New Deal, it has become the Republican mission to never ever lose again in order to ensure their financial interests are never jeopardized and their authority is never challenged
It's disgusting how hypocritical evangelist religions are. It's basically just sociopaths talking themselves out of feeling guilt for doing shitty things to other people because "Jesus died for my sins, so it's okay for me to sin as much as I want!" Always just an excuse to not take responsibility for your actions and surrender your agency as a human being despite living in a world that is predominantly ruled and shaped by humans.
I just have to think of all these slimy Republican politicians talking about whether or not felons get to have their voting rights back based on whether they go to church every Sunday. Remember how Jesus said it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to go to heaven? Probably not because they're all heathens and hypocrites anyway.
Whatever these people are on, it sounds like the worst high ever.

this reads like a 14 year old's fanfiction where all the characters they like win overwhelmingly at everything forever and all the characters they don't like turn out to be turbo-Hitlers who suffer for all eternity for their crimes against the author

A False Prophet
Oh boy I love me some Religious propaganda films.
Just what the fuck am I reading.
I think the best thing about the fact that Trumps presidency was a "prophecy" is that they're calling it one only after he become president. There was no prophecy of some god-elected outsider before he announced it.
You know
Prophecy
that thing that comes before a thing is supposed to happen
this is fucking creepy
Imma telling you right now as the son of a Pastor, if you voted for Trump you're a shit Christian.
