That's not suspicious at all.
Totally unrelated I'm sure.
Simply the result of average russian driving, nothing more.
It was a helicopter, couldn't fit it in the title. Also said helicpoter wasn't authorized. also she killed herself by shooting the back of her head 10 times from 5 feet away \s
amazing how these goons are so blinded by their patriotism or hunger for power and wealth they don't get scared by the possibility of a severely shortened lifespan by working for one of the most suspect governments in modern times. considering how many "accidents" these guys are exposed to they better be paid a risk bonus, honestly
Where's the dashcam footage though?
Hard to say. Everyone is disposable to him so this is just cutting losses, it could be because they were going to break out, it could be because someone was closing in on them, but sadly it could just as likely be they outlived their usefulness or Putin's paranoia got the better of him.
It's not really stupid, when you've got that much power and that large of a propaganda network, there's simply nothing to stop you from murdering people, even if it's incredibly obvious that you're responsible via chain of command. Putin could've shot her himself and personally arranged for a recording to be leaked to the press, it wouldn't have had any significant effect on the course of events because everyone either already knows what Putin does to people who he'd rather no longer have around, or are otherwise (to borrow a term which was used quite often by a certain subset of people who are now interestingly enough growing somewhat fond of Russia), "Useful Idiots" who are too far up their own assholes to admit it to themselves. Regardless, it won't end until either he kicks the bucket, or he slips up and someone else does it for him, because that's what it means to essentially be a dictator.
Someone told me it makes more sense if you think of Russia as a sort of Mafia state. It's all good until you somehow become a problem, then you've got to go. Depending on the severity and risk, sometimes they'll just take everything you own and let you go, or you'll jump out your window, drink radioactive tea, or crash your helicopter on an unauthorized night flight in adverse conditions.
The Russian government reminds me exactly of all those Mafia movies and games. Putin's the boss, Medvedev is the underboss, then the rest of the government is full of caporegimes and associates, and when someone's run its course or is about to spill their guts they get wackadoo'd
I once saw a documentary about crime-fighting, justice and overall criminal underworld about Russia. The most prominent line that stuck was: "Kremlin doesn't mind having mafias around, but makes it very clear, the Russian State is the biggest player of them all, and that no-one should get in their way"
jesus you people need to take the tinfoil off
haha you dumb fool. you stupid idiot. you absolute fucker. i've upgraded from wearing tinfoil to eating it so now who's superior, hot shot?
who buys tinfoil anymore, we're on aluminum foil now get with the times
Yeah, I know, Isn't it just totally unreasonable to suspect a government with a history of doing shady shit like this of doing shady shit like this? I fucking hate when people refuse to be naive and gullible!
We're getting to a point where it's starting to sound like Kennedy assassination theories. Not that I don't like those but if this was something conspiracy related, don't you think they'd pull strings to make sure something like this wasn't publicized and covered up
You do realize you're talking about the same government that either totally fucked up the novichok attack in the UK out of incompetence or purposely did so and made sure it was all but publicly confirmed it was them, right? Yeah it's a conspiracy theory to assume it was the Russian government disposing of someone who was no longer convenient. It is, however, a completely reasonable conspiracy theory based on their past actions.
"Why are you all being so paranoid about a country run by a criminal syndicate that routinely murders journalists, political opposition, activists, and other people that threaten the interests of it's dictator? Just because they perpetrated a chemical weapons attack on civilians in the United Kingdom, and conspired with a corrupt American regime to steal a US election doesn't mean that they would assassinate an intelligence assett whose cover had been blown and was under scrutiny from US investigators."
"Helicopter crash" is like, type #1 Russian code.
Okay, I'll play along. Out of all the ways the fascist neo-Nazi russo-american government could have chosen to kill this official, they've chosen the most obvious way to assassinate this agent, maybe outside of having someone loudly break into her apartment and shoot her with an unsuppressed machine gun while yelling "DONALD TRUMP" at the top of their lungs, then refusing to do anything with the body. Not only would you have a visible wreck which would be investigated but you also left behind a corpse, and if the helicopter has a black box then you're outright hosed. No, the best way for the evil American Secret Police (also known as the FBI or CIA) or the Neo-KGB to dispatch this quarry would be by poison (which they have many near-undetectable types of) and then either destroy the body or (and more likely) make it look like a medical complication. Needless to say, this is kindof the stuff they've done before. As an aside, the article by The Hill and the Daily Beast are mysteriously lacking in details about the crash itself, just that it was an unauthorized night flight, near a village (which is a red flag) and there's apparently video of the crash itself, meaning the theoretical saboteurs didn't do their job very well. Oops.
I mean does it say any of that in the article, though? This official's "cover was blown" and "he was under scrutiny from US investigators"? Where do you have that from? The link between this guy and the lawyer who was present at Trump Tower seems pretty tenuous in the first place - apparently "Karapetyan was reportedly behind Veselnitskaya's global efforts to lobby lawmakers to overturn anti-corruption acts such as the U.S. Magnitsky Act, which passed in 2012." and "The Daily Beast reported that Karapetyan signed a letter sent on behalf of Russia's government to a U.S. court in 2014 refusing assistance into an investigation concerning Magnitsky's death. The letter was drafted reportedly with aid from Veselnitskaya." The fact that he had -reportedly- worked with her in years prior isn't exactly a smoking gun that he had anything to do with the meeting, that he had somehow angered the Russian government or that this helicopter crash wasn't an accident.
What makes you think they give a single shit about the world knowing who or how they killed people? This is the nation that sent assassins whose cover was so fucking flimsy they could be uncovered with a Google search to poison a man and his daughter in broad daylight on a busy Street in England. Putin's mafia government does not give a shit about their crimes going undiscovered. They are functionally untouchable under Russian law, know damn well that no nation on Earth will risk outright war with them, and have the President of the United States, who refuses to endorse any action whatsoever against Russia, in their pocket. The only absurdity here is NOT immediately suspecting murder when Russian intelligence assets die under unlikely circumstances.
Nah, just as always you have jurnos trying to paint a picture that Trump is a Russian puppet by repeatedly saying he is, posting cryptic links, going on tangents about this issue but not going into detail about the actual event in question. The last one really annoys me here because the articles don't go into any detail about how it could have been foul play, just "Oh! She was an official who was tangentially close to someone working for Trump, this means she was assassinated!"
Right, and I'm sure that Joseph Mifsud is just taking a really long nap somewhere.
Well considering any job close to the Kremlin has an safety record that would make Foxconn blush, its not hard to put two and two together.
I'm not, actually. In reality I'm tired of hearing that Russia totally hacked the US election to install Donald Trump as president. It's like a broken record at this point to where I've stopped putting serious stock into it like a year ago. It really should say something if I trust muckrackers and journalists less then I trust the Kremlin. The evidence they post suggesting that this was foul play is flimsy at best, which is a shame because if there was more evidence suggesting sabotage then I might actually start slowly coming around about serious Russian interference rather then just dismissing it as "People upset that Trump won"
I mean if you're trying to say that you don't think that Russia has people assassinated on the regular for speaking out and becoming too much of a nuisance then by all means I've got a bridge to sell you that I'm sure is gonna' prove to be a seriously sound investment. But in all seriousness, there are plentiful journalists and political leaders who have made an effort to expose the things that Russia does. It's just that generally speaking they tend to be kidnapped and shot through the head or killed in drive by shootings. It seems that Russia has a pretty unhappy relationship with journalists, and that being a journalists is likewise a pretty unhealthy profession in Russia, especially if you're of the investigative variety. You could argue that this is circumstantial evidence of course, but then given the fact that there will never be an untainted investigation into these killings and the like... Half dozen others like them, I'm simply going to have to rest my case with the claim that in the US and other countries which aren't shitholes, journalists and political activists generally don't get dragged out into the woods to get a bullet put through their heads.
Alright, what proxy do you use? How many rubles a month do you pay?
shit my cover is blown
