The Smithsonian and a mineral museum in Maine are considering purchasing the meteorite for display, according to CMU. If a sale goes through, the man has agreed to give 10% of the sale value to the university for the study of earth and atmospheric sciences.
It's nice to see that there wasn't some BS ending where the state laid claim to it.
Meteorites are absolutely amazing, my dad and I have a few slices that we use for knife material (bolsters and such) and they have this incredibly cool, natural damascus-like pattern in them that comes out when you etch them.

Fucking fascinating stuff, would love to have one just land on my property out of nowhere, shit's expensive.
They should build a set-piece of the door behind the rock
Anyone have any idea where I could possibly get my plausible meteorites verified?
