Far from that, despite the similar premise. Those channels like Cleanprincegaming and Downward Thrust are more or less full opinion-pieces and clickbait speculation that boils down to 'x popular game is dying/dead because I don't like it'.
nerdSlayer is less opinion-piece video game essay and more investigative and historical retrospect of the complete timeline of a game or company, with interjections of personal experience through their games, with the video working through that until the video reaches the point on why said company or game have been shut down. And the games he does cover are actually factually dead, either through company closing down like this video, or an MMO/online-only game that pulled the plug.
