I've been using this url for a while https://forum.facepunch.com/f/fpcat as a pseudo-popular threads
It's broken now, I'm assuming due to an update.
Is it gone forever or moved to another url? I really can't be bothered to click each individual forum to find stuff, having it all together helped me visit new threads and shit (and so did popular threads btw)
Of all the ease-of-use improvements that have happened in the history of computing, web browsing and user interfaces, this was the cutoff point for Pingu1 - Asking for anything beyond this current level of convenience would surely be defined as "lazy".
People have complained about popular threads being gone since newpunch started.
Myself included. I found it a great tool for going straight to the most discussed topics of the day, no matter what subforum or dark ass cave of garrys ass the thread is in.
I just got used to popular-browsing when I got here in 09. Old dog new tricks y'know
Please bring this back. Asking users to micromanage subscriptions or to actively search for topics they want to read is in an era where a minimal-input feed method is the norm (be it front page, trending or digests) is really pushing it.
