I don't think Borderlands 3 is real at this point
I don't get how they can milk Borderlands 2 this hard, it has some of the most unbearable gunplay I've ever tortured myself with. Maybe Randy should've held out on Colonial Marines for at least another 3 million dollars, huh?
Should've been called Borderlands 2:Virtual Badassery. Amirite Reddit????

The gunplay looks even WORSE somehow! fuck yes just what I wanted
Man the teleport jump movement does not look good to play at all.
Can someone explain why people hate randy?
I believe its because he took money from sega that was suppose to be in making colonial marines and instead funded his own project and minimized funding toward colonial marines?
aliens colonial marines first and foremost
secondly for basically hiring hack frauds with that money (see borderlands 2 and pre-sequel)
Because he's a sociopath who makes completely selfish decisions on a routine basis.
Gatekeeping the Duke Nukem 3D betas for absolutely no reason.
Motion Sickness: The Game
That gameplay footage doesn't give me high hopes. I love the idea of this in theory but...oof. Plus, PSVR exclusive. Nah.
don't forget how he also tweeted a link to a subreddit for rule 34 of battleborn characters
https://twitter.com/DuvalMagic/status/821140723135352832
i'm about 65% sure randy made the subreddit
If it's like a cheap 20 dollar add-on or discounted version of the game for previous owners, sure, I'll buy it. As long as that's the case, and on top of that, I can still play with my friends. Have a bunch that still play the game and this seems like a good way to re-enjoy the game.
I heard some one say it's single player only
I feel like Randy saw that guy that made the Superhot mod for Borderlands 2 and decided to steal the basic time-meddling concept and apply it to VR.
He makes Phil Fish look like a potty-trained mongoloid by comparison.
Good to see all that they've managed to make that money they siphoned off of Aliens: Colonial Marines last this long.
Gearbox is a fucking joke of a company and I honestly have no idea how they're still in business. Didn't SEGA outright take them to court for misappropriating funds and damaging their brand?
I'll repost what I said in another thread.
Daily reminder Randy pretends that his company didn't objectively steal money to bankrupt two tiny developers, and cause one other to hemorrhage what little money they had, they had to be bought by Sega and turned into a mobile developer.
All while un-ironically stating that Steam kills small developers. And then saying none of this ever happened when questioned about it despite the legal repercussions painting an even bigger trail of dumb shit Gearbox did with regards to Colonial Marines.
Fuck Randy Pitchford
Are you implying vanilla Borderlands 2 has bad gameplay? Cause I strongly disagree. Granted, I haven't finished any of the DLC, nor have I done multiplayer or New Game+, which I have heard both have some of the worst leveling imbalance ever (Bullet sponges everywhere). But the base game was a blast to run through twice, one as Axton, and the other as Zero. And that was even when I was playing on my very first laptop and couldn't even get 30 consistent frames per second.
Is Borderlands 3 going to be next decade's Half Life 3?
I get that people dislike Randy (understandably) and that people don't trust Gearbox (understandably), but I honestly think Borderlands 2 was a pretty good game. I think it gets a worse rep now after the rest of the facts about Randy and Gearbox have come to light.
BL2 is seriously good and unique, people just shit on it because lolrandy.
While I considered Borderlands 2 a fun game, it left a foul taste in my mouth that the character built for me (a 100% fisticuffs Brick player in BL1) was coincidentally DLC not included in the season pass.
Or maybe just BL2 pioneering the idea of season passes not actually covering all the DLC which comes out within a certain stretch of time.
(The story was also a trainwreck, but I think pretty much everyone knows that by this point)
Oh you can blame it on Randy, especially for hiring the hack Anthony Burch who just happens to be a terrible writer (as well as a person too, birds of a feather flock together).
And they also got rid of the specified revolver category from 1 in favor of combining pistols and revolvers into a single category. Otherwise I could've enjoyed playing a gunslinger in 2. It may be a very specific condition but that's where I drew the line. I still haven't completed the base game either, it just got so dry slogging through it even with friends, let alone solo.
Unpopular opinion but I think the Pre-Sequel was better than 2.
Randy: "Shit. How do i get more money to support our company?"
Worker: "How about we release those Duke 3D builds for free to build good will, add the expansions to the World Tour Edition of Duke 3D, and release all of the Duke games we own the rights to out back on digital shelves?"
Randy:...
Worker:...
Randy: "You're fired. Let's re-release Borderlands 2 for VR without multiplayer and DLC instead."
*Randy takes out a crown from his desk draw and puts it on his head"
