PC freezes after EAC reaches 100%

So, since today, everytime I try to start the Game through steam, that very first EAC loading screen appears (before the Rust client with graphic options and resolution etc appears) and my PC freezes completely upon reaching 100%.
I tried re-installing and verifying the game and local files multiple times, I repaired and re-installed EAC but nothing works.
I can however start the rustclient.exe from its folder and the game boots up just fine, but I can't connect to any Servers (Disconnected: EAC: Authentication timed out (1/2))

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi MightyMoo,

Two solutions that I found that should help you is the follow:

First off(you said you did this):
1.Go to library
2.right click on Rust
3.choose properties
4.go to local files in properties
5.choose verify integrity of game files

Second:
1. Run EasyAntiCheat_setup.exe as an administrator
2. Install, uninstall and install EAC for rust
3. Verfiy Steam cache for Rust
4. Run RustClient.exe as an administrator
