Trump dating app? I really don't care if you like Trump or not, and I legitimately mean that, but why in the world would there be a dating app based around a politician? People are fucking /obsessed/ with Trump, no matter if they're for or against him. This is insanity.

I listen to a ton of podcasts, and a decent amount of them recently have involved cult stuff, like breaking down what happened in historical stuff but also like ex-cult member stuff too.
Living in the US recently has felt like I'm living in cult land. When you're a kid and you're hearing about dictatorships you always sarcastically think, "well just don't, idiots" ya know? Now I get it. It's like a balanced scales kind of thing. I always pictured the amount of people not giving a shit about the dictators as outweighing those that do care... But if you stop making it a numbers game and consider that fervent followers have so much more passion for their delusions than normal people care about disproving them, you kind of start to understand how this stuff happens.
The way you say that kinda implies that if you're not a trump supporter and you avoid hanging around them you kinda stop hearing about trump but that's not really the case, is it?
