• Yemen facing the 'world's worst famine in 100 years' if fighting does not stop

Scale of Yemen famine was 'initially underestimated' by aid agen.. “The crisis in Yemen is so huge and of such magnitude, we have to be frank about whether we can together deal with what is facing us,” said Lise Grande, the UN’s humanitarian coordinator for Yemen. “We are literally looking at hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of people who may not survive.” This is fundamentally a price famine.
You okay over there, @WheatleyGrim ?
well I am, but man going out is so discouraging these days, transportations are expensive, it also effects fast food and supermarkets a lot. at this point only wealthy families will be able to afford normal daily needs if this keeps going. thank god I finished education long time ago or else I probably would have reached half a year losing a butt load of cash just to get to my destination. Someday I will leave this sad place.
I see a potential for more business in the form of interpreter services. More Arabs are always welcome. Naturally we don't really care if they get a negative or positive ruling for residence permit though, but as long as my boss gets more money she is happy, and that makes me happy.
What would you need for that?
I just need to find a college or university outside of here, gain myself a student visa and just live there. we already know how we can leave but we have to make sure if we leaving, we take everything with us and hope we don't go back. we can't aimlessly go to a country just to go back. it's fine though, am already doing this myself so I don't really need help, it just takes time.
i'm sorry if this feels tasteless but i'd really appreciate it if you could describe the early stages of a price famine so that others could understand. historically nobody exposed to such a thing has really been able to describe it.
