https://news.sky.com/story/leading-uk-businessman-sexually-harassed-and-racially-abused-staff-11534172 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-45964165 The Court of Appeal has stopped a newspaper from naming a "leading businessman" who is alleged to have sexually harassed and racially abused members of staff. The Daily Telegraph said the senior executive in a company group had hired at least seven lawyers and spent close to £500,000 in legal fees in his quest to get an injunction against the paper. Two managers at companies within the group are also said to have taken legal action. He paid off his victims to sign NDAs, and has used that to get a temporary court injunction meaning his identity can't be published, pending a full court hearing to make a final decision. Meanwhile there is speculation that an MP could reveal the guy's identity through parliamentary privilege, Jess Phillips has hinted she might do it if she can find out who it is. Theresa May said there will be a review of the law surrounding NDAs and whether it needs to be changed to prevent them being used like this.
What exactly does racially abused imply?
He probably called them a nigger or towelhead or something. NDA's shouldn't be used for this purpose, the fact that they're so broad in focus is disgusting.
I wonder if another MP will use parliamentary privilege to name this guy.
I would publish it and take the fines for breaking the law anyways. Once it's out it's not like you can take it out of print and have it disappear from the media
It's Lord Sugar. Calling it now.
That'd be contempt of court, you could go to prison
Didn't a bunch of MPs spend fuckin' ages overturning injunctions a few years ago? Wonder if they could do it again. also pretty sure when that happened there was a minor governmental crisis but hey
what happened to that super injunction twitter account
Smarter way would be to anonymously leak it with evidence to back up.
Hopefully that MP will get one of the victim's permission to say the name in Parliament. The scumbag will get outed and would have wasted his money on the injunction as well.
its richard branson you spackers

Oh dear. Looks like that band of suits with a £500k cheque wasn't enough... For the first time in a very long time - I'm actually happy at the government doing something.
Philip Green? A wanker? This can't be...
Oh, so it's that utter cunt who looks like a poor quality Bob Hoskins action figure. Can't say I'm surprised. Hope the cunt goes down.
Here's the moment he got got https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L35AJhjnkiw
Never heard of this guy before, but if he looks like a cunt, sounds like a cunt, and has an interesting history of cunty behaviour, then he's probably..
Philip Greed learning that karma is real and it's coming to collect
You've never heard of Philip Green? He sold thousands of jobs down the shitter with the collapse of BHS (and somehow retained his knighthood). Oh, and he also fucked all of their pensions in the process while remaining a billionaire himself. Yeah, actually, it's fine you didnt know of him before, because you were pretty spot on with the 'cunt' assesment!
This was my first thought tbh, although Philip Green does not surprise me at all.
Parliamentary privilege is a fun little thing, especially when it comes to the absurdities of superinjunctions. Look at the kind of bullshit superinjunctions get used for, for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Ivory_Coast_toxic_waste_dump
