Health insurance is broken? Forcing people to choose between going untreated or spending thousands - or tens of thousands - more than in any other western country? Leaving those with pre-existing conditions behind, as if they don't count as humans? Can we talk about things that matter? Like how there's some people who want to immigrate to our country? How can you not see it's way more important to stop people from fleeing violence than to provide basic care for our citizens?

Republicans have so fucked up their health care message, with Trump trying to claim that Repubs will protect coverage of pre-existing conditions while Democrats supposedly want to take health care away, that the only option is to pretend it's a non-issue. Trump has absolute confidence about his ability to lie about basic facts but the American people remember how Repubs have tried to gut health care for a decade straight. When you can't win on the facts, gaslight the whole damn country, tovarisch.

I have type-one diabetes and I can't believe how little empathy healthy GOP people have. It's not hard to see my 2,000$ medical bills that I get every other month and see that it sucks. I barely earn $2,000 a month and if I didn't have health insurance I'd just die. It's not my fault that I have type-one diabetes, science has yet to really understand anything auto-immune related. I really don't think anyone should be subject to the health lottery of life when so many countries deal with it just fine.

This makes me violent. I don't like it, but god damn if the GOP aren't doing their best to upset me enough to lash out. I'm just waiting for some kind of catharsis with their whole party getting their asses handed to them in the elections, or better yet, fragmenting into a bunch of screaming single-issue parties that fizzle out into nothingness. And if neither of those happen, I'm sure someone will be forced to go untreated for their violent insanity and try to fix the problem themselves - and I'd probably root for them.

A few weeks ago my family threw a surprise party for my grandmother. It was all jolly good fun, however my sister periodically kept stirring shit throughout the evening by trash talking Beto O'Rourke and rallying everyone to vote republican. Eventually late in the drunken night she asked everyone who they were voting for, and of course I was singled out when they caught hint I was voting dem. Her and my cousin asked me why, and I just started talking about wanting improved healthcare nationwide off the top of my head which apparently triggered my cousin. Next thing I know she is screaming at me at 1 AM about how people like me are what's wrong with this country, and how I don't know anything about the world because I'm so young (20). It was a fairly upsetting situation considering these people tout what they see and hear on facebook and fox news as truth, and I just had no interest in participating in her hysterical bullshit. Totally ruined the night. Now I know alcohol played a part in her overreaction, but it's scary how many people I know who think the same and treat it as some fiscally impossible task and keep voting for the people taking good things away from them. I either don't know how to or have no interest in attempting to combat this manipulation when everything is deliberately so muddled, antagonizing, and divisive. I want to live somewhere that doesn't have as many fanatical Trump supporters, I'm getting tired of "But he's a business man and knows how to get things done!" All I could do for now was vote, which I did this week.

My parents were eh repubs, but now they spout off shit like how the koch brothers fund democrats and the republican party is purely backed by doners. Or other crazy shit like old photos of cops with their face cut saying its from some hispanic guy from the massive group of immigrants that caused that (even though the cop is american and the group is still away from the border). Its so disgusting, Ill bring up their stuff is full of shit and show something like NYT article that has proof its bullshit, and they jump on how you can't believe everything on the internet. They literally listen to "MAGA WINNERS FOR TRUMP" as gospel while ignoring any kind of journalist source other than fox news. I honestly attribute more brainwashing from facebook than fox news like on a scale of 10 to 1 because facebook looks less formal and it comes from friends.

It's important to point out that this is just an act. She is putting on a performance for her base. It's obvious from the way she ridicules the press for supposedly regurgitating opposition press releases. To the Republican base, "the caravan" (immigration) and jobs are the biggest concern. Why try to explain why your campaign ad is dishonest when you can just use the opportunity to communicate to your constituents that your priorities are their priorities too?

McSally's whole M.O. during her senate race has been super condescending and dismissive. She did a debate with Synema and was constantly sighing, rolling her eyes and "what-about"-ing like this. I wasn't particularly inspired by Synema but McSally's Trump dickriding and "lets talk about what really matters (aka Mexicans)" made it such an easy decision.
