Jesus this guy is biased
what about the video was particularly egregious to you?
EVERYONE in america is biased right now
I think Trevor should have been on Facepunch during the election. How polling and prediction works was explained so many damn times already. Though I do think all polls and predictions should start with something like "There's a 5/6 chance of not rolling a six. That does not mean rolling a six isn't possible. Go vote"
yeah, but he raises a valid point
Just they way he criticises, makes him seem childish really. That valid point is? I don't understand how this man can say Obama was competent when unemployment went way up and the GDP went way down.
I think that comment was more about setting up the plane joke than anything. To increase the contrast between the setup and the punchline. It's bias for the sake of comedy, but remember Trevor is primarily an entertainer, not an educator
that elections shouldn't be treated like a game, or a contest, or a show
Noah isn't trying to be unbiased, either. Its a program specifically for commentary and opinion. The only issue is that his jokes really seem to fall flat, which is probably what's giving you the impression. That being said, your statement about Obama is not only outright wrong, but it also pretty telling about where you stand with politics in general.
He's right, but not nearly as funny as Stewart.
Even if the execs keep forcing the comparison, by sticking to the Stewart format and not letting these shows develop their own styles, it's best to try and look at Trevor and other performers as their own thing. I don't like the Daily Show's usual routine, he's too bound to the script, but I've really started enjoying the tone of Between the Scenes, it's lighter, helped by the fact that it's not always political https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COD9hcTpGWQ
There was this little thing called the global economic crisis going on.
