So basically, I want to port this texture: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/183687/f72b533f-12c6-4168-bff4-0bb3c60a0d68/132865_header.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/183687/4f42a06b-ecb5-4418-97a6-f48284cfefec/132865_header4.jpg Into Source, as a model that would look something like this: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/183687/e7695389-c3d1-4806-a131-a28e005b7494/gm_black0018.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/183687/fa964a49-2cd4-49d2-af44-d9f3ac6b871b/gm_black0016.jpg Anyone know what kind of program I would need to use? Also, I know the first picture has a shit tonne of polygons in it.
You need to use Blender and VTF edit. Blender is free on Steam, and VTF edit can be downloaded for free too, oh and Crowbar to compile it into a game. there are a few good YT tutorials on how to do it. In what game you are planning to use it? because I know a very easy way to do it in Gmod.
Luckily its for GMod
Here, but instead of using GUI Studio use crowbar to compile it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNg_UouLbcA&t=749s
You need to convert the height map into a normal map, there is several programs for achieving that After that, you use that normal map as the $bumpmap
