Not really, I think it looks nice
I like the contrast of the black borders, actually. It makes it look very cinematic and artistic. I might've suggested blurring the borders into the BG a bit though, to make them look a bit less "artificial", if that makes sense. Having them blur into the DOF would make them a lot more
fitting.
