Can't remember the name of a ridiculous sureal movie

I once saw a movie on netflix about a film writer trying to get his horror film made. The director/producer/whatever who was interested in making the film didn't really care about the plot, and was just obsessed with making sure that when victims were killed in this horror film (the premise of the film was that a TV show causes people's heads to explode or something), the scream they made needed to be absolutely perfect. Unless the writer could record the perfect scream, the director/writer/whatever wouldn't let the film be made. The movie then becomes almost nonsense, with barely related scenes like a girl finding a VHS tape in a pile of guts from an animal her dad hunted/gutted, a dream sequence where the writer is in a movie theater with a bunch of people that don't have faces, and a film crewman who thinks his laundry detergent is making him itchy. I think that guy had hallucinations about an asshole in a rat costume, sort of Donnie Darko style? It felt like the entire movie was a joke about how utterly nonsense it was. Has anybody seen this film? Does anyone know what it's called?
Sounds like Reality, if you enjoyed that one you should check out the directors other films especially Wrong.
That's the one, thanks! I'll check it out.
I also reccomend Rubber, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
