this is an unmitigated disaster. brazil has fallen to a literal fascist who idolized a murderous dictatorship. far right, brainless populism has prevailed once again by infecting the minds of normal people to drive them to xenophobia.
Guess we're gonna get a whole lot of brazilians here in Portugal in the following years then.
Things here aren't even near being perfect, but they sure are better than there so, come on over!
I saw that coming. Along with the massive amount of fake news in favor of him, there was hardly any other possible result for this election
Philippines 2: Electric Boogaloo
Now just wait until few months or more for his corruption scandal best by its oppressors and critics. (And if unfortunately possible under his regime???)
Check out his wikiquote page

Sadly, the ones that can (have money/the option) restart their lives in another country aren't exactly the ones that will suffer the consequences of the next government.
I yea, I sadly think about that too.
There is a shit ton of fireworks and horns here where I live.
Hooray, we exchanged one brain cancer for another.
This country is a fucking joke.
Inspiring! Even Obama congratulates him.

Strongmen are appealing. Some people find it comfortable to believe that complex problems that humans have to deal with in the society we have built can be solved by one guy with a plan.

It's telling that they ordered the removal of an Antifa flag for negatively alluding to Bolsonaro, despite it not having any references to him. It was the same one flown everywhere save for having the University's name on it
This presidency is only going to end in grief and suffering. The wrong people being given duty over people's lives oft leads to it being a privilege for them to empower any pleasures of themselves and those around with the cost being paid by the vulnerable.
So,
United States
Phillippines
Brazil
Poland
Hungary
Any more countries that got far right strongman governments the past few years?
I'm so glad for you, but unfortunately a textbook fascist just got elected as president as well so I'm noticing a bit of a dissonance here what with the celebration for rights and all.
This is also going to be disastrous for the global community in favor of combating climate change; he supports increasing deforestation of the Amazon and withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accords.

I'm pretty worried, my dudes. Most of all for my sister, my girlfriend and my friends. As an upper middle class straight white male I'm not going to be as affected, but seeing shit go down won't be exactly pleasant.
Wish us luck. Let's hope we're all wrong.
Social media destroyed the world.
I have a feeling Russia had something to do with this. I've heard of odd omissions and other disinformation stuff in his campaign that was similar to over here in 2016. Apparently this asshole is also friendly towards Putin. Really makes you think.
Turkey
Italy
Possibly Austria
I don't fully think its not fully Russia this time because their are more factors of how Bolsonaro's devilish super win.
Like Operation Car Wash for example.

can you have the least bit of empathy
he's a dictator elected by people who were ruled by one in very recent memory.
Vladimir Putin is the most dangerous man on the planet. He needs to be gone by 2020, for the good of the world.
Can't forget the originator, Russia.
Not a country, but Doug Ford is pulling all sorts of alt right shit here in Ontario. At the very least the federal government's there to rein him in a bit.
