• Wired Xbox One Controller Issue

My wired xbox one controller hasn't been working since a few windows 7 updates ago (it's an off-brand-wired one) When plugged in, it just disconnects and reconnects while constantly vibrating, in device manager, it's shown as a USB device with a yellow warning triangle, but I can't do anything? Can my controller be made to work again, or am I stuck with a weird handheld vibrator? I'd make the bounty bigger if I didn't blow my coins enlarging my avatar
If it's an off brand then you might want to check the support for whatever brand it is to see what's there, if anything. I'd wager it has something to do with your OS choice, using Windows 7 still might have some issues with drivers updating and what not, like a version you update to no longer properly supporting Windows 7 maybe? I couldn't say for sure, could try using a different USB port, the usual standard bs.
Have you reinstalled it's driver? The wired drivers weren't packed onto Windows until Windows 8
It had been working without hiccup for nearly a year, it's only recently started doing this, after an update to windows, I'll add
It's hard to find anything because all the pages are from eight years ago, and dead, microsoft moved/removed them
Did you move the USB port it was plugged into? I had an issue where the controller only worked when plugged into one USB port, the one It was connected to when the dirvers were installed. Any other port made the device unrecognizable. It's an offbrand Xbox one contorller as well. If it's the same offbrand I've got, then it could also be the controller's connector port. I've had to glue the cable in place, as it doesn't lock in, and nay movement causes it to disconnect and stop being recognised.
