So i'll start by saying i got banned, over a year ago and never knew why, i am god damn role-player, my profession is base building, definitely not aiming. I logged in one day and found i was game banned. I wen't through the whole ban appeal stuff and they pretty much told me i was using a script in association with rust but could not tell me exactly what it was because of their policies, so i didn't really know what i got banned for.
A month later, considering i didn't know HWID bans were a thing, i bought the game again because i knew i wasn't cheating and shouldn't have been banned. To this day i haven't been banned again, the computer is exactly the same. Shouldn't i be banned again? Or was HWID bans a recent addition, in less than the last year?
Just a query for anyone who knows about this stuff, was going to report this to EAC but was going to check if any of my fellow rust players have heard about this or HWID bans are recent?
Good idea to contact EAC its like a burglar asking a policeman "who come you didnt arrest me for the robbery" ?.
yea, ring them up and say "looks like I got away with it".
Bans happen in waves, not always instantaneously. Either enjoy your time while it lasts or congrats on not getting banned again.
