https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/10/29/four-shots-fired-into-republican-party-office-florida/ Luckily it was empty. This shit is getting bad.
It was obviously a Koch-funded false flag.
False flag deep state liberal propaganda to make the left look tougher than they actually are.
Ah yes, the Left's true colors are finally showing. Let this be a sign of what's to come for all so-called "Americans" who dare vote Blue next week. /s
Ofc it was in Florida that the civil war would really begin
This will be pushed so hard on the news it will evaporate any change the bombing/shooting had on the elections. Tony Ledbetter, chairman of the Volusia County Republican Party, told The Post that he blamed Democrats for the shooting at the office. “That’s the only people who would do this," he said without offering proof. “The sick Democrats.”
I couldn't find another article for this while looking for "shooting florida" because there was already 3 other shootings related news today in florida
Why do I feel like this is going to lead to a larger attack on a Democratic office somewhere? We all know Fox and Trump are going to heavily imply if not outright call for people to retaliate for this. Really wish I could move to Canada.
Some say they saw Bernie fleeing the scene in a motorcycle.
I didn't know whether to rate this Funny or Sympathy.
Also whoever is rating this Winner is fucked up.
I mean, it's a standard day here in Florida. But this shit now is just stoking the fire.
The fire rises.
This kind of shit only serves to fuel the flames.
I love that "democrat" is now an attribute like a race or religion. But I suppose that's typical scapegoating politics for you.
Don't be ridiculous! Bernie can't flee from anything.
It's almost as if political violence is dumb no matter who you are.
Weird that it was empty
This is not what we need, we don't need a FUCKING CIVIL WAR.
It happened between 4pm and 9am, so someone could have done it in the middle of the night just to send a message.
Well, its been the same thing for republicans too. Both sides do it, and I'm not trying to say that one or the other is worse/correct/whatever. That's just how divided politics has made us.
It's going to happen either way. Mark my words, there'll be a significant uptick in violence after the midterm results no matter who takes the win. Honestly, it probably would've already happened in 2016, but Trump BSing out a technical win placated all those "second amendment folks" for the time being. This time, though? The Democrats will either be fed up enough to take to the streets if they lose or the Republicans will try to retain their power by force if they lose. Whoever loses the vote is going to initiate an outright battle for control because of what's at stake this time. The Republicans are gunning to permanently cement their dictatorship this time and the Democrats are desperate to purge them before the situation becomes irreparable. Do I want it to happen? No. Is it inevitable? I think so.
Man, I do hope you are wrong about that.
How much you wanna bet that nooow domestic terrorism will start being a talking point on the right? Only about those violent lefties of course.
So do I, but let's be realistic. Do you think Republicans would just take this loss quietly considering how much they're already trying to deny Democrat voters even the opportunity to vote? They know they're in the wrong here, they know the rest of humanity is against them, and that's why they're pulling every dirty trick in the book to stack the odds in their favor. If they lose, Trump is wide open and they'd be screwed. They know it. We'd have our in to finally scrub them out and their ugly reputation would preclude any future political power. On the other hand, if we lose, A) are you about to believe our loss would be legitimate considering all that cheating the Republicans are pulling, and B) would you really let them just wreak havoc unchallenged until 2020? At the very least, god knows how much worse they'll be able to rig the system for 2020 if they win next week; they'd never lose an election again and the Supreme Court will probably become stacked enough with Trump's cronies that any legal challenges to their rule would be instantly thrown out.
if im honest, im surprised it's lasted this long. it's damn near cult like and a lot of the trump supporters i see talk about anyone against trump as if they're literally subhuman. you could actually save humanity from impending disaster but if you dont support trump, they will immediately abolish you from memory and declare you a trump hating libtard. im sure they arent a majority but there's a scary amount of people who are so entrenched that i seriously doubt they'd be willing to move under any circumstance. they've really turned it into an "us and them" situation and im not optimistic for the future at all becuase of it. what really scares me is that, with the position of power that the US is in, who can stand against this administration if they really fuck something up?
^ probably right Time for a weimar phase for the republic, I guess. Either Dems ape the style of a color revolution which probably would have complications and excesses since this isn't the prosperous 80s, 90s, or 2000s, or the right blames the obstructive left for the next 2 years of failures and chaos while continuing to circle the wagons. It's like we've hit the point of no return. It feels strange. We weathered all of the chaos in the 20th century and expanded to control the areas that produced it. We reached the end of history. But, now it just feels like we've just conquered the symptoms of the problem and imported whatever caused it.
The delusions are escalating rapidly.
Idk. It seems to me we're experiencing a second 'gilded age'. The high wealth inequality, the transfer of jobs from industry to service (as opposed to agri to industry like last time), consolidation of markets(this time on a more international scale), and the rise of more extremist ideologies in the wake of unregulated (neo) liberalism. The outcome of such trends last time was a wave of progressive(1920's) outcry in the u.s amidst major international turmoil and war-- turmoil which was subsequently responsible for the post ww2 order and relative stability. With climate change, wealth inequality, and corporate consolidation crushing wage growth -- populations will likely trend toward extreme views in the midst of a serious climate crisis, resulting in international turmoil as last time. Whether we survive that and the exact nature of the events I haven't a clue, but that's my crackpot theory of the next 50 yrs.
That's exactly what's happening.
