well the scotus could overturn these rulings by the 2020 election or congress could enact a better vra but fat chance with trump in the wh and the senate likely being republican. if the democrats return to power in 2020 or 2024 they absolutely need to shore up voting rights because that's one of the planks that has let the gop hold onto power by picking who can vote easily
