I watched a piece on this last night although it was a different guy. These implants are amazing, and further, an unexpected side effect is that the implant is causing nerves to repair themselves. It just acts as a signal booster over the damaged area of the nerves.
The human body is pretty frustrating in the sense that it actually has the means to repair this stuff. It reminds me of that spider bite that jolted that wheelchair bound dude into a full recovery.
Yeah we have genetic code to regrow limbs but its never expressed. Mostly is doesnt work afaik but still
Wish our creators could've pushed human ver1.1 before they headed back off into the cosmos/nuked themselves.
I look forward to the day where I can chop my tigh off, have it regrow, and then season my tigh with garlic butter and have it for dinner
Only thing is uh, your bodily bits are gonna go "o uh hey captain we're- we're missing some uh... rather big bits of flesh and blood and stuff" and it's gonna hurt the entire time your regrowing it.
Clearly promo material for Upgrade 2
Jokes aside, this is really fucking cool.
